It sounds as though Leonardo DiCaprio is ready to part ways with his bachelorhood. In a new interview, the 34-year-old actor reveals that he’s craving a bit of the domestic bliss that his friends have enjoyed in recent years. "So much of my life has been spent on some far-off movie location and so little of it has been lived normally," he notes. "I want to get married and have children."

"I see it all around me and I think things have to naturally take their course. But every friend of mine who has children says the same thing — It’s the greatest thing in the world. So it’s something I’m looking forward to."

Leonardo’s next movie, Revolutionary Road, opens in limited release Dec. 26.

? Coulda sworn I read something
    on here sayin’ he adopted
    “from a distance”????

  2. ava Says:

I think Leo would make a great dad – he seems really grounded and sensible (unlike so many celebrities his age who had fame young). He also has a great social concience which goes a long way in parenthood!

  3. Stéph Says:

Oh I love Leonardo. I want to have his babies!! I like it when men say they are looking forward to fatherhood, it makes them seem really mature and I just love them!! Many men are so immature, so I really love seeing men bwant to have a family and marriage. Love Leo!!

  4. Lilliness Says:

My inner 13 year old is screaming “I’ll have your babies, Leo!” LOL

In all seriousness though, I have no doubt this guy will be a great father! Hopefully he finds the right girl (even if it isn’t me) and gets his wish soon enough :)

  5. Kayla Says:

I been a huge fan of Leonardo for the longest time, hes so talented :0).. i may be 19 but i would marry this guy any day haha.. cant wait for the new movie

  6. Bubbles Says:

Oh, Pick me! Pick me! PLEASE!

  7. Stephany Says:

Can I put my name in the hat to be the mother of your children, Leo?

  8. Maire Says:

I don’t mind marrying you and having your babies leo!!!

  9. Cate Says:

HA! I was just about to put my hand up for the job.

Weirdly enough I was wondering today if he’d ever have/wanted children because I remembered that he and Tobey have been friends for years and Tobey has 1 and a half kids.

Whoever it is, she’s going to be one lucky girl.

  10. sd Says:

Lol- your inner thirteen year old… My very real 29 year old self is screaming, “Leo, Ill have your babies!”

  11. Colby Says:

I AGREE WITH WHAT EVERYONE SAID. He is the symbolism for the perfect man!

  12. CelebBabyLover Says:

jade- I don’t know if he said that or not, but “adopting from a distance” or “distance adoption” refers to when you basically sponsor a child, usually in a third-world country. What you do is pay a certain amount of money every month to cover, or help cover, that child’s schooling, food, clothes, etc.

In otherwords, you are giving a good life to a child who otherwise probably wouldn’t have a good life.

Anyway, my point is that if Leonardo DID “adopt from a distance”, he techincally still doesn’t have any children yet. He just has one (or possibly more) that he sponsors.

  13. SMC Says:

I really wish I could contribute something intelligent to say, but when it comes to Leo, all I can manage to do is join the rest of you in raising my hand to have his babies. I may be married, but I’m sure we can work something out.

  14. Animax Says:

    Leo,
    Welcome to the Club!!
    All the best too!

    Stphen

  15. M Says:

Cate – how does one have half a child?!

  16. Cate Says:

M-because Jennifer Meyer is probably only about 3 or 4 months pregnant…therefore…not a complete child. I was being funny. lol. Don’t mind me…:P

  17. kb Says:

Marry me Leo!!! He’s my fave male celeb…he’s just so hot :D

And yes I do think he will make a fantastic father…sigh there’s something so sweet and yet sexy about that. ;)

  18. phoebe Says:

Okay, I have one child already, and although her daddy may protest, I’m gonna go ahead and put myself forward for the job of DiCaprio baby mama! I’m pretty good at the position already, my girl is bright and pretty and would make a great big sister! Also, I live in London, so if you fancy relocating Leo, you’re welcome. We have a shed, my partner can stay there for a while….

So I got a little carried away, but the teenager in me is getting all misty eyed right now!

  19. jamie Says:

He will definitely be one of the hottest Hollywood dads! Like the other girls, I’m willing to help speed that along;)

  20. Léa Says:

    Wooo..

I see that almost every woman on this planet is ok to be Leo’ children mother ! ( so am I ^^)

I’m pretty sure he will be a gread dad, he seems to be very attached to his family and he is an intelligent and grounded man.

But who is his girlfriend? I thought she as like 20 or something…

  21. Tonya Says:

Well I guess I’ll have to join the rest of the females here and hold my hand high in the air. I already have four kids, but, I would have no problem giving him a few more. *grin* I think I’ve been head over heals for him since 1990, when I daydreaming about marrying him then.

  22. brandi Says:

lol you guys are hilarious! i haven’t done much volunteering but i’m for it! lmao

  23. Molly Says:

Lea, the last ive heard his girlfriend is israeli model Bar Rafaeli. Shes stunning !!

  24. Molly Says:

and i didnt think of putting my name into the hat but after reading all the above comments, what the heck !!

    Pick me too

  25. Léa Says:

    Lol Brandi !

I reckon EVERY comment deals with our will to be the mother ( even if it’s not for real ! )

But I think it’s really funny and cute at the same time !

  26. Léa Says:

    Thanks Molly !

I don’t really understand the word stunning ( english is not my first language ) but I think I got what you said !

  27. Cezzie Says:

I can’t wait until he has children – can you imagine how stunning they’re going to be?

I was in love with him through the nineties … I’d still willingly scream “I want your babies!” at him though! haha

  28. Bancie1031 Says:

Jade – I had heard the same thing, though I don’t remember all of the details.

As far as everyone else ….. my name is on a piece of paper and I placed the paper in the hat, now I have my hand up ….. wanting to scream pick me Leo, Pick ME!

I remember watching Growing Pains (the origial series – not the reruns) and seeing him introduced thinking WOW HE’S HOT!! At this time none of my friends had heard of him yet – so I was enjoying him even then :D

  29. Cindy Says:

man I would love to be the mother to his baby`s…..lol
