A.J. Cook Welcomes Son Mekhai Allan

It’s a boy for Criminal Minds star A.J. Cook! The 30-year-old actress and her husband Nathan Andersen welcomed son Mekhai Allan Andersen on Saturday, September 13th. Weighing in at 7 lbs, 10 oz and 20 inches long, Mekhai was born at 8:50 p.m. A.J., who formerly appeared on Tru Calling, tells CBB exclusively,
"He’s such a good baby. I feel so lucky that he’s mine. My husband and I feel very blessed!"
A.J. and Nathan, who announced the pregnancy in March, have been married for seven years. Criminal Minds airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. on CBS.

I love A.J. on criminal minds! She is so private I am so glad she shared her sons name and birth info.
I emailed CBB about a week ago to share that A.J. had a son named Mackey( I obviously spelled his name wrong lol). My friend met A.J. at a criminal minds even in Beverly Hills and my friend said that A.J. is the sweetest person and did not mind the questions about her son!

I love her on Criminal Minds! She is by far my favourite on there ( closley followed by Morgan!). Congrats on the baby boy! I was just wondering how it is pronounced?

Laura – I don’t think Bren was out of line at all. According to her post she had a friend who met AJ and apparently AJ was answering questions about the baby. I am sure if AJ wanted to keep any information private she would not have released it to CBB. I was wondering if AJ had the baby – she’s so good on ‘Criminal Minds.’

Is Mekhai an excisting name or did she invent it herself. It sounds real to me, African maybe? Anyone has any idea?

Laura, I did not think it was going to be a big deal, I got very excited when I found out and told CBB because I LOVE CM and AJ is on of my favorite characters, well my second favorite MORGAN is the best…he is so HOT lol anyway geesh…lighen up is not like is the end of the world…sorry if I got YOU and others mad for opening my mouth. Trust me I am pretty sure if AJ got upset over this she is over it by now, there is so many other important things to worry about. Also, she reveal birth details she did not have to share with the public and she kindly did! Again sorry if I got you and others upset for opening my mouth.

I actually saw the name spelled Mehkai. Not sure where it comes from but it has to be another form of Michael. At least that’s what it seems to me.. ;o) I love the name, exotic but still not too weird to pronounce it… I love AJ on Criminal Minds too!
