Cobie Smulders Expecting First Child

Is the How I Met Your Mother set following Ugly Betty’s lead with a baby boom? First, Alyson Hannigan announced that she and husband Alexis Denisof are expecting a baby this spring, and now costar Cobie Smulders is doing the same! Cobie, 26, and her boyfriend, actor Taran Killam, will welcome their first child in late spring.

The pair met through mutual friends and have worked together on How I Met Your Mother. The show airs Monday nights at 8:30 p.m. on CBS.

   I love HIMYM and have watched faithfully from the very beginning. I was already wondering how they were going to handle Alyson’s pregnancy on the show. This should be really interesting! Cobie is beautiful and I’m sure it’ll be a gorgeous baby!

   I almost didn’t recongize Colbie from the picture! Yay. I agree with ya Monica, i wonder how they are going to write (or not write) in two pregnancies!? Should be fun to watch!!!

   That’s great! She is gorgeous and I’m sure she’ll be a great mom. I love HIMYM and it really cracks me up to think about what the writers of the show must be thinking right now: How the heck are we gonna hide two baby bumps on the two lead actresses?! That’s nice that she and Alyson will be pregnant buddies through all of this.

   I think Lily will get pregnant (they’ve alluded to it over the past few episodes) but not Robin.

   Aww. I’m so happy for her. It must be fun for her and Alyson to be pregnant at the same time! Oh and this means another Canucks fan to be born!!!! Woot. Go Canucks Go!

    I was watching HIMYM on Monday night and thought that Cobie looked pregnant!! It was the part when she brought ‘Naked Guy’ to the bar… Love that show! Congratulations Cobie & Alyson!
