Christina Aguilera: Max ‘Pierced My Heart’
Stephen Webster Jewelry |
In the December 2008 issue of InStyle, singer Christina Aguilera opens up her jewelry box for readers to see. With so many gorgeous gems, which item holds a special place in her heart? Her first Mother’s Day present, a Stephen Webster locket her husband Jordan Bratman had made, secretly. A ruby heart that opens to reveal Max’s photo, the locket features his name, a diamond sword — and a small drop of blood. "I love the symbolism of the blood droplet," she tells the magazine. "It’s like Max pierced my heart."
Christina also reveals the one time she didn’t wear jewelry: While she was delivering son Max Liron, now 10 ½ months. When asked if it’s ever not appropriate to wear jewelry, the singer says, "’Not appropriate’ is not something I live by. Probably the only time I did not wear jewelry was when I gave birth to my son, and only then because I was so swollen."

I like the meaning behind it, and it’s a cute necklace.

I think its tacky but Christina’s sense of style has never been my cup of tea

LOVE the necklace. I actually have a tattoo very similar with my kids initials on it. I would love a necklace like that! And, I am a PINK FREAK….so the color is perfect!

That necklace is great! I love the colours and I love the droplet of blood.

I ADORE Christina’s necklace, and the meaning behind it. It’s very much her style, too. It’s a sweet guesture by Jordan, and go him for knowing her sense of style so well! I wish my boyfriend knew me like Jordan knows her!!

Not a big fan on the design, but the colours and meaning behind are super cute.
I really love it when parents/relatives wear items of jewellery/have tattoos of their little ones.
I’m a huge Angelina Jolie (and Brad Pitt) fan, and adore her tattoos of the children’s birthplaces.
Moreover, I love Britney Spears’ Jayden and Preston necklace so Christina’s just adds the the cuteness!
Some might not be a fan of the style or how it looks “tacky” but you can’t deny how adorably sweet a gesture like this is!

The necklace is gorgeous, I can only imagine how expensive it is. Jordan did very well with this. Max is adorable

the necklace is not my cup of tea but i have to admit it’s a sweet gesture. however i would find it more fiting as a “lover” necklace rather than wearing it for her boy!
Jess mention the one britney has for her boys. i must say i find the “jayden – preston” cuter and more simple. it’s home made i think.
by the way nice gift from jordan!

i don’t think it’s tacky. i absolutely love it. i wish my hubby wouldn’ve gotten me something like that for our boys.

I like Nicole Richie’s H necklace, very simple and cute. Same for Halle Berry’s N necklace.
I think this one is a bit much.

Tacky was the first thing I thought when I saw it but the meaning behind it is sweet and if she likes it than everything’s good!

Jess- ITA! Oh, and Angie apparently was also given a necklace (presumably by Brad) with all of her kids’ names (minus Knox and Viv’s, as they weren’t even concieved at the time!), for Mother’s Day 2007. CBB did a post about it, very much like this one about Christina’s necklace.

“‘Not appropriate’ is not something I live by”
That’s Christina for you!
