Parminder Nagra Expecting First Child

Parminder Nagra has confirmed that she is expecting a baby with her long-term partner, photographer James Stenson. The 33-year-old English actress, who has played the part of Dr. Neela Rasgotra on ER since 2003, tells US Weekly the couple "are thrilled and overjoyed at the prospect of becoming first time parents." As ER wraps up its 15th and final season, Parminder says that — for now — "the plan is to stay in L.A."
"We still have a home in London, so eventually the plan is to be bi-coastal, but who knows what the future holds. We are just taking it one day at a time."
Parminder adds that "there are no plans to write the pregnancy in the show," and although the series is drawing to a close in February she doesn’t intend to take time off from acting. "I feel like I will want to work, but who knows what I’ll feel like when the baby arrives." As for a wedding, Parminder says it will happen — in due time! "Our plans are to get married but there’s no confirmed date yet," she explains. "We have been together for nearly 7 years."

How exciting~! I was so happy to see this news when I came to the page today. I absolutely adore her on ER and am so sad the series is ending. Congrats to both of them… she is absolutely gorgeous – I’m sure the little one will be beautiful!

That’s great! I love this actress and the character. Two of my favorite actress having little ones. It’s so nice. BTW I had no idea she was 33. She looks so young.

Oh! I squealed when I read this news. I just ADORE Parminder and I think her character on ER is fantastic. One of my favorites. I’m sad that ER is ending.

I wonder what her traditional Indian Sikh family in the UK are thinking about her having a baby out of wedlock? I read they were upset that she even left and moved to the US….

Pogue Mahone, I think you are confusing her “Bend it like Beckham” character with real life. She comes from a very liberal background. Her parents are divorced and both remarried. Though, it’s true most of the sikh families in Britain are very conservative.

this is lovely news for her & her partner, i think she has come a long way since “bend it like beckham” loved that film & i love her in “ER”..been together for 7 yrs is good by hollywood standards HAHA..best of luck to them both & CONGRATULATIONS..shame ER is coming to a end to ive watched it since the first show.xx
