My 14-month-old daughter loves the upbeat classical music of Beethoven.  We find the upbeat music especially helpful to settle her down in the late afternoon when she gets cranky before dinner.  She was especially moved by the whimsical puppets accompanied by interesting sound effects. My little one enjoys the gentle music of Baby Einstein’s Baby Mozart before bedtime, especially if she is having a hard time settling down.  The images of nature, upbeat puppet shows and gentle music captivates her.
