Vanessa Williams and Devin Sign on the Dotted Line
Publicly launching Allstate’s national Home for the Holidays teen safe driving campaign in New York City today, Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williamsand her son Devin signed an Allstate Parent-Teen Driving Contract. With Devin turning 15 earlier this year, he’s on the verge of getting his learner’s permit and will be behind the wheel soon. Based on conversations they had at home, Vanessa and Devin’s contract lays outexpectations for smart driving decisions, and consequences if thoseexpectations are not met.
"As a mother of two older daughters, I’ve given them the car keys and worried whether they would make it home safe. The fact is that our teens are more likely to die in a car crash than from anything else, so having the safe driving talk with your teen is just as important as talking about drugs and sex. As the holidays arrive, parents and teens should use the Allstate Parent-Teen Driving Contract as way to begin a conversation that can be a gift of life."
Vanessa is also mom to daughters Melanie, 21, Jillian, 19, and Sasha, 8 ½.

First, I cannot believe how old her kids are, seems like she just had them. Also, her son is very handsome…all of her kids seem very well grounded.

Wow, I must be getting old, because he does not look even close to being 15 years old to me! I love his outfit!

Jess, I don’t think you’re getting old, because I didn’t think he was close to 15 either! He looks to be around 10 or 11 to me!

He is a cutie. I bet he eats healthy produce and whole grains
I think he looks like boys around his same age did before all the steroid injected, over processed foods that have children looking way older.
I’m 22 and people always think I’m between 15-17. I now thank my mom for cooking home meals and getting meat from a butcher instead of letting me eat fast food which at the time I would have preferred

Jess and Cait I was thinking the same thing, he looks to be about 12 or 13! Anyways, this is one of the things I am dreading the most with my kids. I hope they raise the age to 18 so they will have to wait two more years.

Yeah, he doesn’t look 15 to me either! I was thinking more like 10-13. lol Very handsome young man though.

I dont think its the meat we eat that makes our faces look older, but causes bodies to develop faster. I think what ages our face are the 13 year old girl trying so hard to look like women they see on tv. His face looks young bc he has fantastic DNA

I think he looks 15, because if you compare him to a 12 or 13 year old he definately looks a lot older than those guys in that 12/13 age group.

He looks very young. 15 and learning to drive, seems crazt to me. Here in the UK you have to be 17 before you are allowed to learn to drive, I even think that this is quite young and that the age limit should be 18.

WOW! I can’t believe her kids are so big already! her son looks so cute. he doesnt’ even look 15. reminds me of my son. he’s 13 and looks like a baby! I fathom the thought of my son getting his learners in 2 years! YIKES! congrats vanessa williams! you’re handling it better than I would. LOL!
