Amy Jo Johnson Welcomes Daughter Francesca Christine

It’s a girl for actress Amy Jo Johnson and her fiancé Olivier Giner, who welcomed a daughter, Francesca Christine Giner, on Monday, December 1st. The baby was born at 9:09 p.m., weighing 7 lbs., 1 oz. Her middle name honors Amy Jo’s late mother.
The couple announced their pregnancy in June, and while Amy Jo, 38, flew under the radar through most of her nine months, she did give us a peek at her belly in August! This is the first child for the couple.
Amy Jo, who previously appeared on Felicity, now stars on Flashpoint, airing Thursdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.

Congrats to Amy! I always loved her in Power Rangers when I was a kid. She was my favorite. I love the baby’s name too. Francesca is beautiful and classy and Christine works really well with it.

I just read a story she wrote in one of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, about her mother Christine’s death from cancer… it makes her daughter’s name all the more meaningful.

What wonderful news! I, too, have loved her since Power Rangers, and I admit that Felicity was a small part of why I decided to go to college at NYU. She’s great and I’m thrilled to hear that she has a daughter now!

I think it’s funny her baby was born dec 1 the same as violet affleck and her mom is jennifer garner who bears a striking resemblance to amy jo Johnson…not to mention they were both on felicity

Love her, love the name Francesca. I was thinking about using it since many of the the men in my boyfriend’s family are “Francis”, which I’m not too fond of, Francesca is a beautiful twist on the name for a little girl.

I was a teenager when the Power Rangers came out, but I’m familiar with Amy b/c I used to babysit Jordan. He loved the Power Rangers. He always let me be the ‘Pink One’.
I watched them more than I cared for and it took me the longest time to realize where I knew her from when she was on Felicity.

Congratulations Amy! I used to coach Amy at Cape Cod Gymnastics when she was little. Then when we were both older, she coached there while I was pregnant with my first daughter Shelli. I love the name Francesca. It is so girly. I also loved the Pink Ranger growing up. I was actually obssessed with the show, I remember, I made my parents wait outside of Toysrus(forgot how to spell it; its been awhile!)for maybe two hours just so I could be the pink ranger for halloween. Wow, brings be back to the good old days! lol.. Anyways, congrats Amy Jo the birth of your daughter!

I love the name she chose and think it’s lovely she chose to honor her mother; I read years ago how close she was with her mom and how her death really affected her, so it doesn’t surprise me at all to hear of Francesca’s middle name. Congrats to Amy and Olivier-I’m sure she’ll be a wonderful mom.

The day I found out you had a baby, I was having a bad day due to personal baby issues of my own, but when I saw that your baby was born on December 1st that cheered me up because that is my birthday too, and it just gave me HOPE.
