Chris Martin and Apple in a Winter Wonderland
Flynet |
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin took daughter Apple Blythe, 4 ½, for quite a ride in London on Wednesday! The duo braved the fun slide at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, staying bundled up and bright-eyed. Chris accompanied Apple and son Moses, 2 ½, plus a group of the children’s friends.
Mom is wife Gwyneth Paltrow. Chris’s band is up for seven Grammy awards in February.

Apple looks so much like Gwyneth! She also looks like she’s not too sure about the slide.

That’s adorable!! Apple is such a cutie she looks like a mix of Gwyneth & grandma Blythe.

What a great photo!
The Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is fabulous, but ridiculously expensive.

I must say, there is a lot of conversation about bundling up kids on this site — they’re over-bundled or under-bundled. People take a it very personally and it is quite a hot topic. What’s been good about that for me as a new parent is that it makes me much more aware of dressing my son appropriately for the weather. I think I have put more thought into his warmth and comfort from reading the comments, criticisms, and pointers from other parents on this site.
Apple looks really cute here, all toasty and cozy. Papa looks like he’s having as much fun as she is — maybe more!!:)

is it just me, or do her eyes seem to go the wrong way?

That girl is so gorgeous!
I have noticed before, as well as now, that she seem to be a bit cross-eyed? Or maybe it’s just in front of the camera or something?

Hea yes apple is cross eyed, I notice them in a lot of pictures and the older she gets the more noticeable it is. She looks like both her parents to me.

This is a really adorable daddy-daughter picture!
Hea, I think Apple may have a lazy eye, but I’m not sure.

When Apple is with her dad, imo, she looks like a little mini-Chris. but when she’s with her mum, she looks like a mini-Gwyneth. i can never decided totally who she looks like, but she’s certainly a beautiful little girl.

I think it’s the angle of the camera… look… Chris’ eyes are the same way in this shot.

Oh how fun! Both of their kids are sooo cute. They seem to have inherited Chris’ curly hair but they both look like a mix of Gwyn and Chris. I’m probably a minority here but I like her name. It’s probably more because of how it came about.

I think Apple’s eyes go the OPPOSITE to cross-eyed. They seem to both look outwards. Maybe she has a lazy eye?
Anyways she is a very pretty young lady ! I can see both mummy and daddy in her =)

This (adorable) picture makes me think parents enjoy having an excuse to do kids’ stuff again!! Look at Chris’ huge smile! =D

i originally wrote that her eyes seem to go the wrong way, but i guess my comment got rejected.
they do seem to go outward, the opposite of being cross eyed……
she’s cute, nonetheless

“Cross eyed” are when your eyes go in towards your nose, her eyes go outward, it might just be one eye that is “lazy” and is going out, but in the picture, maybe because of the type of light, it looks as though both are going out.
In any case, her parents are probably aware and getting appropriate treatment, if needed.
Chris seems to be enjoying the slide more than Apple. There’s also a picture of her little brother going down the slide with a nanny, so cute.

English is not my native language. That is why I wrote cross-eyed. I don’t know any other words for it. If outward is the right term, I have learned something.
Nevermind her eyes though. That don’t matter. The girl is gorgeous and looks happy and healthy. That’s all that matters.

The girl definitely has an eye condition, quite likely Strabismus, the medical term for the condition when the eye muscles are unable to focus the eyes in coordination. I certainly hope they’re doing something about it, because it won’t get any better on its own. I was born with this, had two surgeries by the time I was 3 and spent a fair amount of the first couple of years in an eye patch to correct it. Like many with this condition, I have some issues with depth perception even now at age 30 and the weaker of my eyes becomes unfocused when I’m tired.
