Love that article about why children get more sick at night! My daughter had ear infection after ear infection for three months straight, and she always got worse at night. It was hard for me to tell that it was an ear infection cuz she was almost okay during the day (just seemed like she had a cold). Then the doctor told me about the pressure from the fluid in the ear when she lays down. Elevating her bed was the best thing we ever did for her ear and her colds. She sleeps so well at night now. But what made this work was putting wooden children’s blocks under the legs of her bed. The wedge/pillow under the mattress never worked, and I was afraid her mattress would be up too high and she’d climb over the side and fall out. I’m forever grateful to the person who told us about the blocks!
