Eloise Skates by Lisa McClatchy is a Ready-to-Read book that’s perfect for beginners. Eloise bundles up and takes her dog, Weenie, to the skating rink at Rockefeller Center. As she spins and skates and weaves among the tourists, Eloise is on a roll… at least until she flies through the air and is caught by a helpful policeman. We’re dying to take our little ones to the rink this year so this book was a perfect way to tee it up.
