"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Adam Sandler on Sadie’s ‘Rocky’ Transition to Big Sisterhood

While readers — and his own mom! — might have had a mixed reaction to the decision by Adam Sandler to name his 7-week-old daughter Sunny Madeline, the reaction would have been far worse had baby girl turned out to be a boy! During a Thursday appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the 42-year-old actor joked that he and wife Jackie were prepared to name their son “Dip.” “My wife was cool [with it], just for comedy’s sake, to let me call him Dip,” he explained. “Just so in high school when he scored a touchdown, I could yell ‘Diiiiiiip!’ Or if he was in the supermarket, and he got away from me and was missing, I could go ‘Diiiip? Where are you Dip?’”

Asked by host Jay Leno whether he was present for the birth or instead in the hallway having a cigar, Adam quipped that he was instead enjoying the best of both worlds, “smoking in the delivery room.” He went on to reveal that Sunny was anything but upon her entry to the world! “She came out crying…So I said, ‘Here’s Sunny, with a chance of showers,” he said. Big sister Sadie Madison, 2 ½, remains unimpressed by the newest addition to the family. “It’s been a little rocky,” Adam admits. “She doesn’t understand why it happened.”

“I’ll find her staring at Sunny going, ‘We had it perfect? Why? Why’d you do this to me?’ I said, ‘I thought you wanted to have someone to play with.’ And she’s like, ‘She’s just kind of laying there, Dad, doing nothing. Like…how is that playing?’ I tell her, ‘It will happen.’”

Telling Jay that Sadie views Sunny as “an anchor,” Adam said that Sadie has even taken to booing mom and dad when they tend to the new baby. He went on to apologize to both girls and Jackie for using their private lives as a punchline. “I love you guys,” he said. “I love my kids more than anything in the whole world, but I’m a comedian…Daddy’s got to make a living!”
