Meet Bronx Mowgli Wentz!

Celebrating the season and their greatest gift, Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have chosen to introduce their 5-week-old son, Bronx Mowgli, on the Friends or Enemies blog. “We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz,” the bassist and singer write. “We couldn’t be happier. And in the spirit of the holidays, we’d like to encourage you to give on your own. Below is a list of worthwhile charities that need your support. Love Pete, Ashlee and Bronx.”
The couple then goes on to name the International Rescue Committee, Room to Grow and the Richie-Madden Foundation as their choices. Describing the changes in his family, Pete recently noted, “The first time I held him…I just knew everything was perfect. Like everything was good — it was like Legos, you know what I’m saying, like it all fit together.”

This is a very sweet photo and I love the way they did it! They all look happy & gorgeous! It’s hard to tell who he looks like at this moment but he’s a cutie just the same =)

From what we can see of his he sure is a cutey. He’s got Daddys lips I think. That is a really sweet picture, just looks like a random family snap. I think more celebs should introduce there babies in this way. They choose what is said, they choose what photo and it’s real. Not a circus all posey posey ‘look aren’t we perfect’. Just a nice photo that really isn’t about them or even Bronx its about family and spending time with them this time of year.
I can’t wait to see this family grow together.

Not a fan of the pic. I would rather see more of Bronx than their faces. If they are going to introduce him then they should show him more.

Bronx looks like a quiet and peaceful baby, ashlee and pete seem that they’re are gonna be very good parents, the photo is lovely, i love that way to introduce the baby like that, alike Gwen Stefani did when introduce son Zuma

I believe that not showing very much of the baby’s face was purposeful. They will still be able to get $ from all of those mags from ‘here to Guam.’ Sarcasm??? Yes!

It kind of feels like a teaser…almost as if they are partially showing him so magazines will pay for a full face?! Hmm who knows but I am anxious to see what little Bronx looks like.

This is a really nice way to introduce their little blessing to the public. I loooove the fact that they are encouraging donations to charities they support and in return we get to see the first pics of Bronx. CONGRATULATIONS Ashlee and Pete again. Bronx is BEAUTIFUL!!!

I love this! It’s a clever way of introducing Bronx while not really introducing him! I feel Ashlee and Pete are not quite ready to have whole full length pictures of him yet…He’s cute from what we can see!

I love the idea that they are drawing attention to charities. It fits with the season of giving.
As for the remarks about not seeing enough of the baby and implying that because of the positioning of the child in the photo it means they’re holding out for more money, I can certainly understand why some celebrities choose not to show their children to the public at ALL. I can definitely see why some of them think it’s not worth it.
People really are something else.

Awwww this is a really sweet picture and I love that they’re promoting charities along the way. I personally think it’s much nicer when celeb parents introduce their babies through a personal photo like what Salma Hayek, Gwen Stefani, & Minnie Driver did. Very cute little family

Honestly, I think this is the BEST way to introduce a new baby. Just a simple picture, not a huge posed magazine spread. I really love this picture. It’s sweet and I love how they showcased different charities. That’s a really great idea. I can’t wait to see more of this family!

I don’t get it – how can you tell that he’s cute or looks like Pete when you’re seeing like half his face? That always cracks me up, like people talking about Sam Schreiber looking cute and like Liev when you saw half his face.

Most celebrities don’t do big spreads because they can’t get paid to do them. Even when mags pay for a couple’s first kid, there is less interest in the second one. Remember the difference between Julia Roberts’ twins v. Henry? The People issue with Brangelina’s twins sold huge which made it worth spending all that money for the magazine. Think Ashlee and Pete would sell big? Doubtful. How about for Minnie Driver or Salma or Gwen’s second son? Nope. Just because we get so excited, doesn’t mean we’d pay money to see the pictures. With most celebrities, people would just wait until the paps take a pic of them walking around on the street. I mean people won’t pay to see Nicole Kidman’s movies, so why would they pay money to see a picture of her kid? I just think everyone needs to have a reality check. Pete and Ashlee did this because it was this option or having his pic taken while they were out running errands. Either way, no splashy photoshoot was going to happen. I think the picture is lovely and it’s nice that they shared it with their fans instead of acting all secretive about it and getting mobbed by the paps. It’s their choice either way.

Can y’all honestly say who the baby looks like with just that little snip of a pic? Oh gracious me – I see two parents with a “head” – no idea who the baby looks like.
Cute pic nonetheless…..not a fan of the name at all – sounds made up to me….yeah Bronx is a name Mowgli is a name – but just too much nonsense IMO.

Such cynics! Maybe just maybe not every celebrity wants to sell their baby pics. not because no one will pay for the photos. This photo was placed on his blog for his fans not for the cynics. The blogs copied this from his blog. He is a beautiful baby. Can’t tell who he looks like but what does it matter. I prefer to think he did it for his fans of his music and not becuse they could not sell. seems to me keeping him hiden would be the way to get money than to release on his blog.
Such a world! hopefully this little guy will grow up w/ less cynicism and hatred of celebrities.

I feel like if nicole richie was able to get paid for a photospread of her baby than Selma Hyeck and ashley simpson def could have made some money off their baby photos even if it wasnt as much as the jolie-pitts. I believe that they did turn down offers and i like when celebs introduce babies like this or not at all like keri russell and naomi watts but its cool also when they do the photo shoots. Either way the public will see the child

This is a nice family photo, but definitely not a photo of the baby. We can see his parents more. Although to me its okay, its the family I enjoy watching. There’s not much to see, babies all look a like. They are a happy family.

He definitely is a cutie.
And the truth is, regardless of their general fan base, people are not going to be lining up to buy the magazine with their photos in it.
Magazine companies are smart: They’re only going to invest in celebrities that they know will be a huge pay off/return on. (i.e Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez..etc..etc).

I bet you anything ashlee, salma hayek, jennifer garner,matt damon,etc could have gotten money for their baby pictures, they are all famous and no where near d-listers. Not to drop names but if people like trista sutter, brooke burke, melissa joan hart, jodie sweetin, etc got money for their baby pictures imagine, jenniger garner, salma hayek, and ashlee and pete, who are both famous. Some celebrities just choose not to go that route.

awww that pic brings tears to my eyes lol i remember when my 2 horrors were tiny and taking pics like that….but not looking quite as graceful, more like id had a huge hangover and hadnt brushed my hair for a week lol
