"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Novena Maternal Skincare: Lotions and Potions For Pregnant Mamas

Taking good care of my skin has always been important to me. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I was pregnant with our first child and discovered Novena Maternal Skincare ($28-35), a revolutionary skincare line developed specifically for pregnant women. Although it was designed for pregnant women, it’s 100% organic, vegan, environmentally friendly and safe from all harmful ingredients, so it’s wonderful for any woman. We’re expecting our second child in May and I feel so fortunate to have discovered Novena.Unlike other chemical-based maternity skincare products, Novena is all-natural, containing ingredients like cucumber, cranberry, green tea, kelp, olive and tea oils, bearberry, tangerine and cocoa butter.  The Organic Bearberry Skin Brightening Moisturizer is great for brown spots.  The Organic Cucumber Cranberry Eye Gel feels so cool and refreshing. It really helps with tiered puffy eyes and dark circles.  The Organic Fruit Face Wash works wonders for deep cleaning and balancing. Tangerine Cocoa Butter Belly Cream is for preventing and minimizing stretch marks. It smells so good I want to eat it!  Finally, the Organic Citrus Blemish Lotion really helped me a lot with breakouts.

The line was developed by renowned esthetician Jeanette Acosta, with over twelve years of experience in the field. Her research indicated that everything applied on the skin consequently ends up in the bloodstream and into your developing baby. She also discovered that there was a possible connection between chemicals used in everyday skincare like parabens (a preservative), sulfates (a foaming agent), and phthalates (a bonding agent) that were linked to certain birth defects and even infertility. She claims that many ingredients and herbal supplements are a no-no for pregnant women including women going through fertility treatments. Jeannette collaborated with an organic alchemist and worked under the guidance of medical doctors to design a safe skincare line for mothers.

The line is available at many high-end maternity boutiques as well as select physician offices in Miami, FL.

Looks like for treating stretch mark, it uses cocoa butter. Is it effective enough? Does it help more if it includes ingredients to increase skin supporting structure?
