Annabeth Gish on Life With Her Boys

KM Press Group

Despite a noticeable lack of sleep since welcoming her second son, motherhood for Annabeth Gish has been nothing short of “fun.” However, that isn’t to say that there haven’t been a few bumps in the road — one being Cash Alexander’s adjustment to being a big brother. Although Annabeth reveals her older son is doing “amazingly well” since she brought home 10-week-old Enzo Edward, the toddler has certainly “had his moments, especially when I’m breastfeeding,” the actress admits. With a quick lesson to teach Cash “the difference between poking the baby and gently caressing him,” Annabeth is thankful to have two sons so close in age.

“Just knowing that these two boys will always have each other as constants in their lives, as playmates, brothers, and hopefully best friends, makes it easy to ’suffer’ through momentary overwhelm.”

In an effort to keep Cash, 2 this month, included in the baby’s life from the start, Annabeth shares that after falling in love with the name Enzo during her final stages of pregnancy, she and her husband Wade Allen received a nod of approval from their son. Although the pair had “almost committed to another name,” the Italian moniker Enzo popped into Wade’s head one day, and after cautiously approaching Cash — who had shot down their previous suggestions — he shared his idea with him. “When we asked if he liked Baby Enzo, he immediately repeated it several times and shook his little blonde head affirmatively. We took that as a good sign,” says Annabeth.

I love, really love name Enzo. Little Cash (like Annabeth) has good feeling of style :) I can’t wait to see new baby Allen. I’ve found several photos of Annabeth and her boys, but I only can see previews. So sadly…

i love the name Enzo too! it’s very common here in France lately. in the top 3 baby name i think.
How do you prononce Enzo in United States? is it ee-nzo or énzo (like in france)?

  5. Aitch Says:

Daze: the latter is how pronouced here in US

I have noticed Luca is popular name in Europe now in top 10 lists. Not so popular here. It is my third son’s name.
