Candace — a former No. 1 draft pick and winner of MVP and Rookie of the Year honors in 2008 — will continue to work out in anticipation of the 2009 WNBA season, which begins in June. She adds,

What wonderful news! Candace went to high school in my town (although I went to a different high school than the one she attended) and she graduated a year ahead of me, with some of my friends. It was big news when she was the number one recruit in the country and ended up going to Tennessee, but somehow I missed the news that she was drafted to LA. Congrats, Candace!

  2. Emily Says:

Yay for them! They seem like really down to earth people. My MIL was Shelden’s kindergarten teacher and when his team came to our city, he sent her tickets. So nice!

  3. Meredith Says:

Hilary, Candace also went to school in my town! Go Naperville! That’s so cool! Congrats to her…hopefully she’ll visit again.
