"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Piggy Paint: Nailpolish as Natural as Mud

Piggy Paint

My three-year-old loves it when I give her manicures and pedicures but it’s always unnerving to expose her to those kinds of chemicals. I was happy to discover Piggy Paint, a brand of non-toxic nail polish designed with both kids and the environment in mind.

Non-flammable, Piggy Paint is water-based and specially formulated of natural ingredients. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone. Best of all, it is odor free.

I tried it on both my daughter and myself and there was nothing really different I could find about it (other than the fact that it didn’t stink!) which is something that I liked about it. I honestly was expecting it to be runny or quick to chip but none of that happened. The polish went on smooth and stayed on for a few days. My daughter has the habit of picking at her polish with her teeth in an attempt to peel it off (one of the biggest reasons why she doesn’t get her nails done as often as she’d like) but with this polish I didn’t feel like I had to worry about the fact that her hands were in her mouth.

The manufacturer recommends one or two coats and then a minute under a blow dryer so the polish sets well. I did only one coat and no blow dry and it still worked well.

We also tested out the Piggy Paint Nail Polish Remover which was odor free as well. It was hard to remove the polish (though I’m not sure if that was the fault of the polish or the polish remover).

Piggy Paint polish is available in 13 really great colors and is sold in gift packs at a discount.
