Rebecca Romijn Promises Ana Ortiz Hand-Me-Downs
Flynet |
Appearing on a television show with so many new parents and parents-to-be is about to pay off in spades for Ana Ortiz, says her Ugly Betty co-star Rebecca Romijn. Having only recently welcomed Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip last week, Rebecca says she has big things in store for her tiny twins and Ana’s baby-on-the-way, due in July. “I’m so happy for Ana,” Rebecca tells OK! “She is going to be such an amazing and fun mom.” She adds,
“If she has a boy, he’s already got two dates for the prom. And if she has a girl, she’s about to get a TON of hand-me-downs!”
Ana, 37, is married to Half Life guitarist Noah Lebenzon. Dolly and Charlie are Rebecca’s children with husband Jerry O’Connell.

That’s cute. With all those babies around I’m sure it’ll make for a fun set.

am i the only one who thinks the hand-me-down comment was a little presumptuous? maybe if this was ana ortiz’s 3rd or 4th kid, i’d understand. but, when i was a first time mom, i wanted everything for my new baby to be, well…new. idk, just sounded a little weird to me.

Well, aren’t all babies new people?I’m the 5th child in a family of 9,and my sisters and my clothes/shoes/jewellry are still passed around like they are on tour. I sure appreciate it because it’s a generous thing to do,because it’s cheap for me =)and, in a corny way that might only make sense to me,it demonstrates a level of trust and friendship that you don’t have with everyone.

Mrs. W.- Well, a lot of first-time moms I’ve known over the years don’t seem to mind hand-me-downs for their first baby. One woman I knew happily accepted hand-me-downs for her first baby. Another woman I knew bought practically all of her first child’s clothes at second-hand stores.

Such a cute comment.
I think hand-me downs are great. I got all of my sisters old clothes after they were handed over to a friend. After I got them and had out grown them they would go to my younger cousin or my friend.
It’s not like Ana and Noah aren’t going to buy their baby a ton of new clothes. I think it’s great as well that if Ana does have a girl and Rebecca and Jerry do give her some of the twins clothes they aren’t going to waste. Also the baby will be born in a few months, baby’s grow so quickly that I doubt the clothes would have been on that much.

Why would a 4th or 5th child be any less than a 1st? I think hand me downs are very practical. I would be happy to get anything if I ever have a baby.

If I was Ana, I’d start praying for a girl because you know Dolly and Charlie are going to have fantastic clothes!
