Boon’s Feeding Products: The Silver Spoon Comes Next
![]() |
As parents frantically strip the cabinets of anything vaguely resembling a toxic chemical, Boon offers a terrific line of toddler feeding gear to replace everything in the recycle bin. Every single product is BPA-free, phthalate-free and PVC-free and designed with little eaters in mind.
The Squirt Baby Food Dispensing Spoon ($8 ) turns heads every time I take it with me. Just fill the soft, orange bulb with finely pureed food and squeeze it into the bowl of the spoon one bite at a time. A cover snaps on to keep the food from leaking and it has never leaked a drop in my bag. Love it!
The Benders adaptable utensils ($6) adjust to fit toddlers’ grip when they’re first learning to feed themselves, increasing the food-in-mouth success rate dramatically. As the child learns to turn the spoon toward his mouth, parents can gradually adjust the angle. Slick!
Catch Bowl ($7) – Think upside-down baseball cap with a suction cup to hold it tothe table. The Catch Bowl has a big lip to catch spills. It’s super sticky and really doesn’t budge from the highchair tray.
ModWare Toddler Utensils ($5)- Remember the “spork?” Well, this is a chic, new variety. They’re sized almost as large as a standard teaspoon but the big, grippy handlemakes them much easier for bigger kids like my 3-year-old son, Finn, to manage.
Fluid Toddler Cup ($6) is extremely cool looking but we found that my son could pop the top off too easily. Also a friend with a one year old said her child can’t suck the liquid out through the opening. Bummer. It looks so cool!
Groovy plate ($13) reminds me of a cocktail party where we were given plates with a hook to hold the stem of a glass. The Groovy Plate features a two-section toddler plate with two tiny bowls that can move around the perimeter of the plates. Finn loves to dip, so this is a big hit!
Snack Ball ($7) wasn’t too hot for Finn, who couldn’t open it without help. But when he dropped it on the hard floor, my mostly golden retriever, Ace went insane chasing it through the house. Maybe we helped Boon identify an untapped market! Danielle adds, “it’s the perfect size to keep in your purse with little danger of it opening and creating a Cheerio disaster.”
We also love that 10% of Boon’s profits are donated to children’s charities. Nice work, Boon!

We had the same issues with the cup–it leaked, and she couldn’t suck the water well at all. I hope they fix the design at some point because it looks so cool!

My toddler has the Boon toodler cup, yes, very cool visual design but he can’t drink from the tip. It needs a nubbier spout which toddlers love.

Love the spoon, and it does catch attention, but easy to misplace. I lost one on a trip, then shred the spoon cover of the 2nd in the garbage disposal, so have to get my third, or ask Boon for an extra spoon cover.
Love the design of the sippy cup, but my husband bore a hole through the top since there didn’t seem to be a hole, but now terribly leaks since the hole is big. Just cool looking, but doesn’t seem to work well.
The bear-looking plate is great, we love it, and hope to get the bowl soon also.

ha ha ha… the snack ball! there is no other item that could be more frustrating/ funny. frustrated babies are not funny and throwing ball shaped items when frustrated makes sense… it’s the scrambling mommy through public areas that’s funny. and my dog too loves this. he thinks it was made for him.
as for the cup, my daughter loves it. BUT it was really hard to teach her to use it. it’s slightly too thick to hold and once it has a smidge of food on it there are no grips. but she gets creative when she needs to and drinks like a fish.
i will send props to boon. if you have any issues with the product write to them and someone will get back to you asap and work with you to replace it or fix it (probably get your money back too if really bad) and they were really open to design feedback when i needed my cup top replaced.

I love the spoon and have 2 of them.. but once I actually used it on my daughter foot went literally SQUIRTING everywhere and I hope that’s not why they named it that! I think we just have to get used to it… I want to like it!
