Alison Sweeney Welcomes Daughter Megan Hope

It’s a girl for Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney! Megan Hope Sanov arrived at 11:48 p.m. on Monday, January 12th, Alison’s rep confirms. Megan weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz and was eight days early — Alison had been due January 20th. Her rep shared,
“Alison’s still in hair and makeup from her day on the set! It was a very easy delivery, and everybody is great. Both mommy and baby – and daddy, too – are doing well.”
Earlier in the week, Alison blogged that she was trying to prepare for the birth after “a firm conversation [from my doctor] about how second children very frequently come quicker and earlier than first.” However, “even with nine months to think about it, it isn’t really real to me yet. Ben seems way better prepared for his baby sister than Dave and I are!”
The Days of Our Lives star and husband Dave Sanov announced the pregnancy in June. Megan joins big brother Benjamin Edward, 3 ½.

Congrats to the whole family, been watching DOOL for years and have always found it amazing how someone so sweet can play such a different character then herself. Sign of a great actress. Love the name (finally a “normal” name in Hollywood). She also does a great job on “Biggest Loser” hope she continues with that show.

I was expecting something simple and “normal” with her brother being named Ben. It’s not one of my favorite names in the world (I’ve known too many Megan’s that I disliked…) but it fits! It goes great with Ben. Congrats to them!

Congrats to Alison. I looove the name Megan. My best friend in elementary school was a Megan and the name brings back such great memories for me.
Allison at 1:36 commented that she was surprised that Alison had picked such a common name. I thought I read somewhere that she had planned on it, that she didn’t go for the unusual names popping up in Hollywood. Am I thinking about someone else?

I love the name Hope so much that when I was young and foolish, I wished for triplets to name Faith, Hope and Joy. Ended up with two single girls named Dawn and Starr between two boys so had my hands full.

Alison—Just wanted to Congrat you on your new addition to the family. What was so ironic about it all, was that during my devoted watching segment of Days, my husband is actually becoming addicted. He looks over at me and says…I think she’s really pregnant, her boobs look a lot bigger than usual and her face is glowing. Then when I just read the news and told him that he was right about it, he says “see, i can always tell if a woman’s pregnant…..they glow”. So sometimes that makes me wonder if women really watch other women as much as men do?? LOL……Congratulations Alison!!! Keep up the good work!!
