Violet Affleck: Proud Big Sister!

With her 7-day-old baby sister at home with mom, Violet Anne Affleck showed off her newfound status in a “Big Sister” tee as Ben Affleck picked her up from school on Monday in Santa Monica.
The Boston-bred actor and wife Jennifer Garner, both 36, have yet to share the name of their little one, but we hope they’ll reveal it soon!

Little Violet is getting soooooooo like daddy lately! And I never thought I’d say that because she’s been her mummy’s doppelganger for so long! I can’t wait to see little sister and find out her name! Can anyone remember how long it was before we found out Violet’s name? I know there was a rumour during Jennifer’s pregnancy that the name was Violet, but I mean when it was officially announced.

With Violet, all they officially announced was her birth date and time. The name had leaked earlier, as Jen received monogrammed items at her shower. Some of the tabloids were able to get the name and weight from sources, but Ben and Jen never said anything themselves until they began discussing her by name in interviews.

But we knew that the baby was named Violet Anne Affleck, from the time she was born so how did people know that her middle name was Anne if nothing was announced? I thought they said it but maybe I’m wrong.
Can’t wait to hear the name of this little one.

Copies of the birth certificate, people that work in the hospital often leak information, etc. Here’s what was officially released when Violet was born:
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are first-time parents, with the birth of their daughter Thursday night in Los Angeles, their reps confirm to PEOPLE. Affleck’s publicist, Ken Sunshine, and Garner’s spokeswoman, Nicole King, said the child was born at 6:26 p.m. ET Thursday, after several news outlets erroneously reported Garner had already given birth nearly five hours earlier. “Mother, father and baby are doing great,” the reps said in a statement. No further details were released.

I think we knew the name was going to be Violet before the baby was born – didn’t Jennifer custom order lilac (Violet) cupcakes for her Baby shower? I’m probably wrong but I don’t recall waiting for a name announcement because it was already known, ie: leaked!
Does Ben look absolutely shattered or what….

Violet is so cute, she looks so much like Jen. And ben is a handsome daddy. Don’t know why they haven’t released the name already, but I hope it’s soon.

I LOVE the name Violet (it has been on my baby-name lists for both my pregnancies… I ended up having boys!) so I am very interested to see what they named this new little one.
If they stuck with the same naming-style, I would guess it would be something sweet and old-fashioned like Lucy, Pearl, Lily, etc…

I think we are all impatiently waiting to know the name of Violet’s sister. But just like Jen said in one of her interviews: We will eventually find it out. (even though it is killing us – lol)

CBB clearly said that Ben and Jen never formally released Violet’s name. If we find out, it’ll be a leak from the hospital or some other entity, but not them. I have heard a name online that the hospital supposedly leaked but I hope it’s not true since it’s an awful name. Well if they had named Violet something odd then this name would not seem so bad but compared to Violet, it’s awful.
I suspect we’ll find out when Ben or Jen need to promote a movie and it just comes out in an interview. Seriously if it’s the name I heard, I hope they never release it so I can dream it’s something lovely like Violet.

) or Victoria (after Victor Garber)– old fashioned, with the V like Violet, named after someone…

Kelpy, Ben is probably sick & tired of having his & Violet’s picture taken every time they leave her school! I like seeing celeb’s kids from time to time (or else I wouldn’t be here!), but enough is enough . . . the same picture, every day!
Regarding the baby’s name, birth records are public, I believe, as are marriage & property records. So technically, anyone should be able to find out the name once the birth is registered. I’m sure they’ll pick a great, classic name–I love Violet Anne.

I think the awful name Heavenlysmiles says is Chase Milan Garner Affleck, I´ve read that too.
I hope is just a rumor, too,lol!

Yeah, Angie, that’s it. Ick. I don’t like boy names for girls but if they did like Angie Harmon and named both girls that way, it would be fine. Still one is such a lovely girl’s name, while the other, well, isn’t. I don’t normally comment on celebrity baby names since naming a baby is such a personal choice but Chase wasn’t what I was imagining so it really bothered me. It’s their daughter though.

There is no way Chase Milan is the name. That started in EOnline’s comment section I think. If it had weight it would have been picked up on already by news outlets.

Ohhh. I don’t know how much longer I can wait for this baby name! I’m so anxious because I love, love, love Violet Anne and I’m sure it’ll be classy and cute like her’s!
And I really, really, really, really, REALLY hope that Chase Milan name is false! I don’t like that name at all and it just doesn’t sound like something they would choose.

She is just so dang cute!! I was a bit surprised by the name but I like it. And, I like Rose. Violet Anne and Seraphina Rose seem to go together.

Also, I think Ben REALLY, REALLY hates the paps being anywhere near his child. I caught part of some video not long ago where they were just trailing and hovering near Jen, Violet and Ben and when they got to close he put Vi in the car and pretty much went after them. Can’t say I blamed him either.

I can’t believe the name the E Online reported! I mean, Violet’s last name is just Affleck, so why would they have given this one Garner Affleck as a last name? Is the media really that clueless?
