Niki Taylor Expecting a Daughter

Update: Although a recent comment made it sound as though they’d be welcoming a son, Niki and Burney tell Entertainment Tonight that they’re expecting a girl. “I’m ready for a baby already; I want to meet my baby,” the model shares with the show.
Originally posted October 30th: Niki Taylor is pregnant with her third child — and first with husband Burney Lamar – OK! has confirmed. The 33-year-old supermodel, who said last year that she was ready to try for another baby, is already mom to identical twins Jake and Hunter, 13, with ex-husband Matt Martinez. Baby-on-the-way is due in early March. She tells PEOPLE,
“Burney and I are very excited with this stage of our lives. We’re thrilled.”
Niki and Burney, a driver in the NASCAR series, were married in December 2006.

Oh, how exciting! Congrats to them! She has been through so much – her sister’s death, young motherhood, divorce, a terrible car accident with a long recovery… I’m so glad to see happy and expecting! PS – she looks beautiful!

I’m so happy for Niki! She has had a rough time, and I’m really glad she was able to conceive after the car accident & numerous abdominal surgeries. I’m hoping for a GIRL!

wonderful news!!!!!!!!! I have close friends who are friends with the Taylor family. I bet they are thrilled!!!!!! Nikki is still ansolutely gorgeous!!!

Ivey, I believe her boys are identical, actually.
I am so happy for Niki and her husband! What a gift, especially after all she has been through and thinking she would never be able to have children again.

How wonderful! I know Niki has been trying to have another baby for a while, so this is great news. It would be nice if she had a little girl since she has two boys, but another boy would be nice too.

I agree, yes, it would be nice if she had a girl (since she has 2 boys) but I think with what she’s been through, a healthy baby would just be nice.

I had no idea that she was only 3 years older than me! I remember seeing her on the cover of some fashion magazine when her boys were babies. I can’t believe it’s been 13 years!

Jake and Hunter are identical twins. How thrilling to welcome a baby girl. I just read an article where she said she will have the baby naturally – there are steel plates in her where the epidural would go (from the accident). Also, C-section could be risky due to the scar tissue from the accident.

I was shoe shopping at the mall a few weeks back and looked up to notice Niki Taylor (and one of her sons) standing right in front of me. She was there the entire time that I was. She had no makeup on and was beautiful.

I have always loved Niki and am so glad she is having a girl. I will not be surprised if her daughter’s name pays tribute in some way to her late sister, Krissy.

That is such wonderful news for them. After surviving a near-fatal car accident and the untimely death of her sister, it is so nice to see her find that kind of happiness.
