Elisabeth Hasselbeck Expecting Third Child

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is expecting her third child, she announced Thursday morning on The View. The new baby is due in August and was a pleasant surprise for Elisabeth and her husband Tim.
“We were thoroughly happy with the surprise of it. I didn’t even know for two months. I was walking around. I thought I had electionitis. I was tired, I was nauseous, I thought I was worn out from the whole procedure. No, I was knocked up and didn’t realize it!”
The 31-year-old is already mom to 3 ½-year-old daughter Grace Elisabeth, and son Taylor Thomas, 14 months.

I sent CBB a post 2 weeks ago saying to keep elisabeth on baby watch, I just knew she was pregnant. She started dressing different, and just looked different to me. I think she will have another girl. Wow in 4 yrs, she had 3 kids. It seems like she is always pregnant lol. I always pictured her with 3-4 kids though.

For the first time ever I watched the view last week, as I was sick and the house was empty.
I took one look at her and thought to myself, “she’s pregnant again.” How funny I was right. She’s going to be my pregnancy buddy too.
Despite the fact that I disagree with her politically, I’ve always felt an affinity for her. I find her very relatable – which is why she is successful on TV I’m sure.

Yesterday, she was wearing a blue loose top that I thought looked maternity like. Today when she came out, I said that she definitely looked pregnant in her red dress. I know she had trouble conceiving the first two, so I am thrilled for her that this time worked so easily. Congrats to the whole family.

I am so excited for her. I wish I had the courage to have a third child but I think 2 is it for me. She is so beautiful and strong. I love watching her stand up to the others on the View. I am rooting for her!

While I don’t agree with many of her views, I find her entertaining to watch and she seems like a great mom.

I just love logging on and before the entire page loads you can see “a BIG announcement” that is featured so I was SO surprised to see Elisabeth featured! While I am not anywhere near similar to her politically and frankly I cannot stand some of the arguments on the view, I am joyous for their family. What a wonderful blessing especially after she had trouble conceiving her 2nd. Blessings!!

Congrats to Elizabeth… I too am having a surprise third baby lol.. Also due in August. I feel so blessed to be able to welcome my third child to the world and have even decided on a delivery surprise this time around to keep it different

She was my celeb pregnant buddy when she was pregnant with Grace (my DS is 3 1/2 also) and Taylor (my 2nd DS is 18 months). Now, she is my celeb pregnant buddy again (I’m due in May with my 3rd DS).

It’s happy news but it always strikes me as odd when people say they have no idea they are pregnant. If you are doing the deed, it’s possible- period- what is so shocking. My daughter wasn’t planned but she wasn’t a surprise- we all know how babies are made.

Oh God, is he already 14 months old!!! How time flies! It feels like it was yesterday he was born.
I didn’t think there would be an anounce of another pregnancy for Elisabeth that soon, but it’s really great news. Congrats to Elisabeth, Tim, Grace and Taylor!

Elisabeth (aka Bessy…. I still remember that from Survivor lol)!! Congratulations!! So excited for you and your beautiful fam!
Eventhough people give you a hard time, be proud that you always stand your ground, stand up for beliefs, treat people with respect, and don’t let people put you down. If I were you, I’d break down crying sometime…. you can take the heat though, girl.

jackie- Elisabeth and her husband had trouble concieving the first two, so I’m guessing they didn’t count on being able to concieve a third so easily, hence not realizing she was pregnant.
j- It’s possible that she just thought her chest enlargment was PMS related or something. PMS bloat isn’t always confined to the stomach, you know!

I love the View but Elizabeth H is not one of my favorite TV personalities, in fact, politically we couldn’t be more different. However, I have always felt her to be a kindred spirit because I too had trouble conceiving my children. I have always been rooting for her in that regard. I am very happy for her, esp since she struggled so much in the past. It is such a blessing- I only hope I will be as lucky when I start trying for #3. Congrats to to Elizabeth and her family.

I like when an unexpected arrival is called a surprise instead of an accident. All children are blessings!! Congrats to the whole family. I am also a mother to 3 small children and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done!!

Congrats to them, but I don’t get all the comments about her having a hard time getting pregnant. I was in the view audience once, and elisabeth said it took her 9 months to get pregnant with taylor. That’s not exactly what I would call a difficult time, especially when I know people that it took them years to be able to have a child and had to take fertility drugs and everything, something elisabeth hasn’t had to do. She has been married only 6yrs and her oldest child is almost 4, 2nd baby 14 months, and now a 3rd child due less than 2yrs after her 2nd baby. That’s not exactly an unfertile woman, quite the opposite if you ask me. I also don’t think the baby was a surprise she has said plenty of times if you watch the view, that she wanted a big family and kids close together.

Luciana- I remember reading that it DID take her and her husband quite awhile to concieve Grace (i.e. a couple of years). With Taylor, I think she DID say something about how they were surprised it only took nine months to concieve him given the struggles they had concieving Grace.
Anyway, I’m guessing that it was sort of a, “Well, we won’t push our luck, but if we DO concieve a third baby, great!”
