Alyson Hannigan Feels Like a ‘Slightly Stoned Koala Bear’
Before she was pregnant, Alyson Hannigan admits she doubted that “pregnancy brain” was an actual “thing” — but now the 34-year-old actress knows better. “I sort of feel like a Koala bear where I’m slightly stoned all the time and I’m just like, ‘ahh, oooh,’ and I’ll say the wrong word,” she joked during a Friday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Alyson shared that she ”get[s] tired a lot” and was coy about her due date, saying only that “it’s approaching.” (We hear it’s early April.) She also declined the opportunity to announce what she’s having; When asked by host Ellen DeGeneres whether it’s a boy or a girl, Alyson replied “it’s one of those.”
“We do [know what it is]. We’re just not announcing to the world. It seems a little personal.”
Undeterred, Ellen asked Alyson what name they’ve chosen for baby-on-the-way, prompting Alyson to joke “depending on the gender, probably Ellen DeGeneres.” Ellen then held up two onesies — in pink and in blue — and asked Alyson which one she’d like. ”Tricky,” Alyson said. “I’ll think about it.”
When Alyson shared that not only is she still craving ginger ale, but her mom craved ginger ale while pregnant with Alyson, Ellen smartly observed “interesting…so maybe it’s a girl?” “You’re very sneaky,” Alyson replied. Finally, Ellen asked Alyson about the Super Bowl and whether she’d let “him” play football some day. Unfazed, Alyson replied,
“Football seems like a very dangerous sport for either gender.”
Baby-on-the-way is also the first for Alyson’s husband, Alexis Denisof.

Ellen is such a stinker! She is constantly trying to get her guests to confirm pregnancies or the sex of their offspring lol. Remember when she offered Mariah Carey a glass of alcohol to toast to not being pregnant? I think Alyson is having a boy.

aww, that is a cute picture! I love Alyson, she always seems so real and down to earth, she is going to be an amazing mom.

Maybe that craving thing was a small slip up and it is a girl, I don’t know lol! Alyson does look pretty big for an April due date, but people carry differently I guess.

I also think it is her dress, certain dresses make preggy women look bigger and others smaller. I for one look larger when I wear certain kinds of shirts. Gosh, I love Alyson, she is adorbale! Anyone have any idea on the dress? I love her maternity style!!! CBB, do a profile on her

I think that she is pretty short also, so that may be why she seems “big.” She looks great!

OMG I laughed sooooooo hard at the baby being born a “full grown vampire” comment. that was classic!!!!!! lol.
I am guessing it’s a boy too only because of Alexis Denisof’s baby name comments a few months back that kind of made it seem like it was a boy…but, i gotta say, I know a couple people who craved ginger flavored things and ginger ale during pregnancy and they had girls!

I have to say that I watched this episode of Ellen’s show the other day and Alyson didn’t look that big on the show. When I saw this pic on people, I was like whoa, did they distort that image because I didn’t think her bump was that big. I could be wrong, I guess.

Whooa! All the sudden alyson got so big!! I hope it’s a girl! It would look so lovely…
both alexis and alyson have already slip coments about having a boy… and now having a girl… in bottom line, those two only now, and i get the sense that in the next weeks will hear something from them. I think she’s due mid-march maybe early, the first week of march, don’t know why… she looks like 8 months pregnant to me

So cute! Tonight on HIMYM, they found cute ways to show her belly. They showed Robin in a flashback (like they showed on Ellen) where she’s in an eating contest, and she stands up and shows off her belly. Then they did the same thing at the end in present day, where she stood up and showed her belly again with Marshall putting his hands on it and making a surprised face.
I just love Alyson! I can’t wait to see what an Aly/Alexis baby looks like!

I think its her dress that makes her belly look larger all of the sudden, that type of material does that! She’s most likely due after I am, though it could be around the same time – she’s mentioned a spring due date, and mine is March 24th, which is technically, though barely, spring! She looks a bit bigger than I am, but I really do think its just her dress.

I’m due in late april, and my belly looks like Alyson’s, everybody carries different, i don’t think her belly is THAT big for early april.

Annette, the justification lies within this site, it is afterall a web page deicated to celebrities who are pregnant, just had a baby or are talking about their family.Obviously people are going to speculate about weather a celebrity will have a boy or a girl so your comment seems a bit ridiculous really!!
