"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Max Sheen Released From Hospital

Sara Jaye Weiss/Startraks

Update: Max, having met the weight requirement, was released from the hospital recently — reportedly on Friday. Charlie’s rep tells PEOPLE,

“It’s frustrating to be a parent and not have your family home with you. This is the last week of Two and a Half Men [which is going on hiatus], so Charlie and Brooke will be able to spend some quality time with their kids.”

Originally posted April 2nd: In a statement issued this afternoon a rep for Charlie Sheen confirmed reports that the Two and a Half Men star’s 2 ½-week-old son Max remains hospitalized. The reason behind his extended stay is not a heart condition as had been rumored, however, but is instead because he has not gained enough weight to be safely discharged.

“Max is expected to reach the weight requirement shortly and will join his brother at home. The Sheens appreciate the outpouring of concern but have assured everyone that both Bob and Max are fine.”

Charlie noted that difficulty gaining weight “is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term;” Max and his fraternal twin Bob were born six weeks prematurely on March 14th. The 43-year-old actor went on to joke,

“I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food. I just didn’t realize they that started so young.”

Max and Bob are the first children together for Charlie and his wife Brooke Mueller Sheen. Charlie is already dad to Sam, 5 and Lola Rose, 3 ½, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and 24-year-old Cassandra from a previous relationship.

I’m glad Max doesn’t have a heart condition! How this stuff gets out though is kinda scary. How would anyone (except people working at that hospital) even assume that Max was sick with something?

  2. meghan Says:

I suspect there are informants within hospitals who break the law to tip off the press. I hate to even think that someone working in a hospital can be so unethical, but I can’t imagine any other way. They did to Farrah Fawcett. They did it to George Clooney after he had his motorcycle crash.

That being said, I’m glad to hear the situation is not as dire as first reported. I’m sure Max will be home in no time!

  3. CelebBabyLover Says:

meghan- Unfourtnately, I agree! However, you’d think these informats could at least get their facts straight before tipping off the press!

  4. merce369 Says:

I’m glad Max doesn’t have heart condition and will be home soon. Wish both both a lot of health !!!

  5. eternalcanadian Says:

Oh my goodness, I hope Max improves! I did think they were born quite early and wondered if they really were okay. It’s always tough when situations like this happen so positive thoughts for them!

  6. MiB Says:

With regards to the informers, I don’t think it necessary has to be a member of the hospital staff in this particular case, especially since they got the diagnoses so wrong. I mean, it would be quite obvious that one of the babies is still in hospital if Charlie and/or Brooke are seen coming there all the time (which I assume they do), possibly with baby Bob in tow. It is possible that someone overheard one of them mentioning his name at the coffee machine or outside on the phone and drew their own conclusions, people do have wild imaginations and many like to imagine the worst, especially when it comes to health (not weighing enough isn’t really as exciting to many as having a heart problem). Once a rumour spreads, it quickly becomens a “fact”.

Anyway, I wish Max a speedy recoveryand hope that he will be home with his mother, father, brother and sistes in a couple of days.

  7. eternalcanadian Says:

That is good news to read Max gained the necessary weight. Hopefully he will continue to gain more weight and thrive at home with his brother. I am sure we will be seeing pictures one of these days!

  8. cassie Says:

Mary Hart on ET reported that Max had a heart condition and both E and Extra said it wasn’t true. ET used to be reliable but after they reported that Angelina had twin girls and never retracted the storyIVe had less confidence in their reporting. For both stories Mary said we have “a reliable source” Is Max the baby that Charlie said looks just like him?

  9. CelebBabyLover Says:

cassie- I agree! With the Angelina story, they even claimed their “source” was in the delivery room! ET DID eventually sort of admit to their mistake with the twins story. In any case, after that, I’m certainly not going to trust ET.

I also think that Mary Hart really needs to work on getting her facts straight before she sticks her foot in her mouth yet again!
