Debra Messing Says Roman Gives Her Perspective
Landov |
The glitz and glamour of life as a successful actress will never go to Debra Messing’s head. Speaking to OK! from the Chanel Dinner for the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night, the 40-year-old The Starter Wife star said that son Roman Walker, 5, keeps her real. “When I’m on the floor with my son — Look at my knees, do you see? Majorly skinned knees,” she points out. “That’s from my son’s birthday party on Saturday at the gym and I was crawling on the floor.”
“Skinned knees and chasing after a little boy keeps everything in perspective.”
When she’s not crawling around on all fours, Debra says that her favorite activity with Roman is reading together. The family — which includes Debra’s husband of eight years, Daniel Zelman — have “an embarrassingly big library,” she admits, and Roman often reaps the benefits.
“I’m a book fanatic so he gets to go and pick out whatever he wants and his choice changes all the time.”

She’s seems like an amazing mother. So funny, how she gets on the floor and crawls with him.

does anyone know if she is planning any more kids? Maybe not, if her son’s 5, never know the situation, may not want more, may have had trouble conceiving similar to Sarah Jessica Parker (as reported anyhow, tried to add to family for years?)…Like the name Roman, doesn’t Cate Blanchett also have a Roman?

There is no such thing as an embarrasingly big library!
