If These Boobs Could Talk: A Little Humor to Pump Up the Breastfeeding Mom
![]() |
As someone who nursed a demanding little girl for over three years, “funny” is not a word I’d ever necessarily use to describe the experience. However, Shannon Payette Seip and Adrienne Hedger manage to make breastfeeding humorous in their new book If These Boobs Could Talk: A Little Humor to Pump Up the Breastfeeding Mom ($11).
Using the theory that laughter is the best medicine, the book is ripe with fun quizzes, games and trivia questions all about nursing boobs. Sounds crazy but they make it work!
My favorite parts include a page dedicated to things that worse than sore nipples (watching all seasons of Saved by The Bell in one sitting), another dedicated to what to do if you are leaking and there is no baby in sight (make a beeline for the nearest bowl of cereal — it’s perfectly good milk after all) and the Top-Ten Breast-Friendly Cities in the United States (did you know there is a Nipple Mountain in Colorado?!).
Is this book necessary? Not at all. However, I can pretty much guarantee that any mom who gets this book as a gift will laugh her nursing boobs off!

This is the funniest book I’ve ever read. The PERFECT gift for any baby shower or expecting mom.

OMGosh, I bought a few copies of this already for my friends/new moms and it has been a huge hit each time. I don’t even have kids and I LOLed at every page. I think your $11 is way better spent on this than the traditional baby outfit gift. Enjoy!!

I love this book! The new book, Momnesia, is also fantastic! A little laughter goes a log way when your are sleep deprived and all of your brain matter is leaking out of your breasts! Of course I think the authors are wonderful too!!! Can’t wait to go to Barnes and Nobel to pick up a few for shower gifts!

I LOVE this book! It’s so funny and well written; I always read it while breast-feeding! It sure makes me appreciate my boobs more.
