Mariska Hargitay and August Take a Spin

Whee! Actress Mariska Hargitay puts an arm around son August Miklos Friedrich, turning 3 later this month, while they enjoy an amusement park ride at the 3rd Annual Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash.
Held Tuesday evening at Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink in Central Park, the event benefited Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing New York City’s families in need with essential equipment, clothing, and products for their infants and young children.
Mariska’s smiling here — what else keeps her in a great mood? “I always try to laugh. Between August — and the things that come out of that kid’s mouth — my friends, my husband … I laugh a lot,” she recently told Health.
Dad is Peter Hermann.

Beautiful boy love his eyes but I can’t stand boys with bangs! Gwyneth Paltrow and Rachel Weisz both have lovely little boys with curly hair and bangs! I know it’s always a heated topic but I’m just old school, hate boys with long hair and bangs!

Responding to JMO, not trying to start anything here…but why “hate”? Such a strong word. If you don’t prefer it, that’s fine. But as a proud mama of a curly-topped toddler boy with bangs, I think he has the most handsome haircut in the world!

He’s so cute, I think he looks like Grandfather and Grandmother on his maternal side but has his father’s beautiful blue eyes. I love the curls and the bangs it makes him look like a little rocker.

August is my favourite boy name… that’s actually what we were going to name our son, but he turned out to be a girl!!! So August is her middle name. Thank you Mariska for the inspiration!

He looks a lot more boyish than he used to look. A saw a picture of him and my mom thought he looked so girly.

That little boy is precious. Nothing else to say. I can’t wait to see how he’ll look in 15 years (GORGEOUS, of course, like his mother). I love her on SVU and so of course I’m a fan but her son… wow, just adorable.

I dont really care for the bangs but her son to me is QUITE masculine looking so I dont see him being mistaken for a girl. He reminds me of Tom Welling actually.

My son is 5 and named August…and has had this same haircut since his first one after his first birthday. It really suits him, and this August as well…must be the name!
I’m obviously partial to the haircut and can’t understand others not liking…but regardless, I certainly don’t understand judging it! Life is too short to worry about the length of hair.

AWW!! Every time I see a picture of Mariska and August, I just want to MELT! He is SO ADORABLE-looks just like Mommy! Who cares how long his hair is? He’ll have the whole rest of his life to cut it short. August just gets cuter every time I see him! Mariska and Peter seem so happy, and they are so blessed.

It’s a personal choice obviously. But it’s just not something I care to see on boys. The length actually looks fine it’s just the whole bang look throws it off for me. JMO

He was actually born in June. August (Augustus) is a very usual German name which has been in her husbands family for centuries.

August is a name from his father, Peter Hermann’s, family for more than 100 years.
He’s a beautiful little boy. Looks just like both of his parents.
I always thought Mariska looked like her mother Jayne Mansfield with her father Mickey Hargitay’s skin color. Jayne was born a burnette and I’ve seen pictures of her- they could have been twins!

He is a gorgeous little boy. He always looked identical to his mother, but now that he is a bit older I definitely see more of his father’s features, a bit more masculine face. They will have to keep an eye out on him when he is older!

I am glad Mariska is doing much better ever since her collapsed lung and the problems it caused her. She has a beautiful family and i think that helped her recovery period. With those beautiful eyes of August, i would think that a shorter style, or even no bangs, would really bring them out a lot! he has beautiful hair though. Rock the long hair as much as you want before they get too old for it! When they get to be around 5 or so i think long hair on a boy looks a little feminine,but thats just me. I bet it gets hot with all of that hair during the summer!I live in Texas and that hair style would just get too darn hot down here:)
