"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Hollywood moms-to-be have long done away with frumpy maternity styles, and five-months-pregnant Jenna Elfman is taking expectant glam to a whole new level for as long as she can.

She showed up to the Elle Women In Hollywood tribute dinner on Monday in a super-short, clingy little black dress that made the most of her lithe dancer’s legs while still showing off her baby bump.

“My stylist found it and it’s not maternity,” said Jenna with a chuckle. “I’m trying to drag out the ‘not maternity’ as long as possible.”

The actress — who’s also playing pregnant on her new sitcom Accidentally on Purpose — said her second stint on the way to motherhood has offered one surprise.

“I just had no nausea with the first and I’ve had nausea with this one, but it’s gone now which is nice. I have a little more energy. The nausea is gone and I feel like a human being again.”

Jenna, who has a two-year-old son, Story Elias, with husband Bodhi Elfman, said aside from the tummy troubles, her current pregnancy is “awesome, actually. It’s still challenging because I’m working and have a two year old. It can be exhausting but it’s wonderful.”

Working out, she said, “is kind of a must. You need to exercise when you’re pregnant. It really helps with energy. I like walking on the treadmill and lifting free weights slightly, just keeping moving is the main thing, using the whole body to keep moving.”

She also expects to hear baby news from her expectant costar Ashley Jensen, who was due October 17th, “any moment – I’m texting her, going ‘So, now?’” She says their show’s producers are ready to shift schedules as soon as the new arrivals make their appearances.

“They’re aware of my due date and I think bringing new life into this world kind of inspires everyone to find a solution. Where there’s a will there’s a way, and everyone just gets clever about finding solutions, and so you just make it work.”

  2. Patrice Says:

Oh my goodness, they way she’s carrying (if you believe “old wives tales” which I do) then she is DEFINETLY having another boy! Beautiful : )

  3. Kaylee Says:

    She looks pretty here!

  4. sue Says:

WOW she IS carrying low! Boy I predict!

  5. Courtney Says:

yeah so do I she looks fabulous that dress accentuates the bump beautifully all though sometimes those old wives tales can be disproven

  6. Brandi Says:

She is smokin’ hot!!! Love her new show also, it is so funny. Check it out if you don’t already watch it, it’s hilarious.

  7. Sheri Says:

I don’t believe all the wives tales about the belly…. I carried super low with my daughter-everyone swore she was going to be a boy, my dr. said its because of the shape/muscle strength of the uterus.

  8. Stephanie Says:

Don’t get tooo caught up in old wives tales… I had a boy and carried completely like a GIRL! SOOO HIGH etc. Can’t wait to find out what they are having!

  9. finais Says:

I carried super low the whole time, and now I have a 7 month old daughter. I wouldn’t go by how she’s carrying.

  10. Molly Says:

thats a very weird shape of a belly

  11. lana Says:

actually, i dont believe old wives’ tales…and anyway there’s an exception to everything. i hope she has a girl this time around…she will definitely be a beauty :)

  12. Charlie Says:

She IS carrying low, first thing I noticed.
But the second thing was how beautiful and relaxed she looks – she seems like a great mom :)

  13. Ellen Smith Says:

Molly, I agree with you. And as for how one carries, all of the guessing is just that – guessing.

  14. acidstars9 Says:

She has such a small little bump…lol..even for her size.

  15. webmom Says:

She was feeling sick, and she didn’t with her first, I’m betting on a girl.

  16. acorrado Says:

I had boys and always started out sooooo low, could be a clue…

  17. amy Says:

I just laugh and laugh when women comment that carrying low or high will tell you the gender of a baby. How ludicrous.

  18. mochababe73 Says:

I don’t know why women feel like maternity clothes equate dowdy and un-fashionable. All that I knew is that I wanted to be comfortable but still cute. Comfort was first. Once I donned those maternity clothes and stopped trying to squeeze into non-maternity, I felt free.

By the way, she looks great.
