A long while back I read on one of these posts that Britney is never seen holding her oldest son. I thought then; silly, it is just when they choose to take pics. But it stuck in my head and I took notice. Adn ya know what?! It seems to be true! When out, she is always holding JJ. I never would have thought that. I wonder why. Does anyone know?
Such cute boys! I am so glad Britney is better and able to parent them again. I can’t imagine the pain she was going thru.

I agree with Tara on the Britney holding Jayden all the time item.
I think that maybe Sean is too heavy for Britney to carry. When my sisters and I were younger (we’re stairstepped, with me being the eldest) my mother would always carry my younger sisters and my dad would carry me.
I wouldn’t be too concerned about the fact that Britney seems to always be holding Jayden because before Jayden was born, she was commonly seen holding Sean.
Also, they’re cute boys. I do wish that Britney could find a decent stylist though bc she’s really pretty, but her clothing combinations are not really flattering

I’ve noticed the same thing about her holding JJ all the time. I think Britney holds JJ all the time because of what happened the first time she went into the hospital. She probably feels guilt over that and tends to baby him more. That and I think the youngest ones always want their moms, he seems to especially, while SP is more independent.

I wonder if those kids know how to walk yet? I have never seen them do it. Jayden looks absurd with that huge pacifier. I have a 3 year old boy myself and there is no way I would let him out with one of those things.

I don’t care if a child has one at 6 years old to be honest, but I have a question for the Moms. A soother’s purpose is for comfort right? Like does a 3 year old get comfort out of sucking on it? I guess I’m just confused why kids would WANT them when they get to be 3/4 years old. I’m not a mom and I guess the way I see it is that it’s like a diaper and I would think kids would just stop wanting them.
Again, I am NOT complaining about him having one!

I’m sorry if I sound rude but… get that pacifier out of that kid’s mouth!! I don’t care about the way Britney dresses, I’m past questioning why she always Jayden but never Preston, or why the only moments you see them on their own feet is when they’re at the beach or the pool, what truly bothers me is seeing a 3-year-old still sucking on a pacifier!

Pool pictures anyone..pretty sure the boys were walking around there..come on of course 3 and 4 year old’s know how to walk…have you not ever seen a video of the amount of paps that follow Britney..it would be completely unsafe to let them walk!

To answer Natasha.
Before the age of 6 months using a pacifier is good for an infant for comfort. Many babies even will find their thumbs before they’re even born to calm them.
However “Most pediatricians recommend taking the pacifier away when your baby is around six months old. At that age your baby no longer needs to suck and has yet to become attached to it.”
A child who is 3 should not and does not NEED a pacifier but it becomes something they get attached to and most parents feel it’s not worth the battle.
I personally hate the pacifier on children over 2. They look ridiculous with a plug in their mouths esp. one’s who try to talk out of the side of it! At the very least they should be left in a child’s bed and only used there. But like always the binky debate will always be.

just throwing a little something in there about the ugg boots–do you guys have them? They are SOOO incredibly comfortable! And they’re not too warm either–I’m from Minnesota so I wear them all the time in the winter but I also wear them occasionally in the summer…even in the heat, they somehow don’t make you hot…they’re just THAT comfortable, trust me!
with that being said, I think the ones with all the fur like she has are a little ridiculous–but I’m a plain old girl and I like the simple ones! But she looks happy and that’s all that matters!

I’ve often commented about Britney carrying Jayden and not Sean Preston. Carrying, sitting with, cuddling, holding hands, pushing his stroller etc. etc.. I mention it because it’s what WE see 99% of the time and is simply the truth. Once again, here it is. The suggestion that it’s because Sean is 4 and Jayden is 3 just doesn’t work – the same was said when Sean was 3 (Jayden’s age now!) and Jayden was 2. These boys are only one year apart and almost the same in size. Soooo, if it’s not their age/size, what do you think it could be???
Another mention is the soother. I don’t think there is a problem with Jayden’s soother at all, but it’s interesting that he never has it when we see pictures of the children with their dad, happy pictures of two little boys. I’m thinking, just from what I see, that young Jayden runs the Britney show!

‘the one’ – - Not in the last 2 years. 99% of the pictures we see are of her carrying, cuddling etc. etc. Jayden and not Sean. Show us where you are seeing her, in the last 2 years, carrying Sean even 1/4 the time she carries Jayden. Thankyou in advance!

OT/ Melanie yep they are really comfy but I wear mine in the winter and still find my feet sweating. I couldn’t imagine putting my feet in them in warm weather. I’m more of a flip flop girl. Wish I could wear them all year instead!

I don’t really see the big deal in the who gets carried debate. Perhaps Jayden is a mommy’s boy and he gets whiney if Brit doesn’t hold him. Quite frankly I’d be holding their hands tightly and making them walk. I understand there is paparazzi around but geez we even see Honor at 14 months walking around! These boys are always being held or in strollers.

jayden’s pacifier is no big deal in my opinion. i never saw a 10-years-old showing up at school or anywhere else with one of them. he’s still young, maybe we should just let kids be kids!
as for the thing with britney holding jayden and not preston i think both boys like it that way. I remember some pictures of them at the pool and Preston was doing his thing, playing in the pool… and jayden was just cuddling britney instead of following his brother. i thought it was cute how he’s still attached to her.

About the Pacifier – I’m one of those parents that most of you hate …. my daughter had a pacifier until she was 4 1/2, it was a comfort tool for her (her security blanket if you may), but when she was tired of it she threw it down and went about her business. When Jayden is tired or has outgrown HIS pacifier he will get rid of it. It might be his security blanket, we don’t know.
About Britney always carrying Jayden – How come NO ONE EVER SAYS ANYTHING about Gwen always carrying Zuma???? Since she’s had him I haven’t seen very many, if any!, pictures of her carrying Kingston. What is this one of those double standards so many of you are good at???? It’s all good for Gwen because she’s mom of the year (or such a good mom or whatever) and it’s not ok for Britney because of her troubled past? Don’t get me wrong I love Gwen also but I’m honestly curious about why this is!

#18 Taking it away at 6 months? That’s ridiculous. What doctor’s recommend that? Using a pacifier reduces the risk of SIDS, which does not disappear at six months of age. Not to mention suckling is soothing to infants. I think pacifiers should definitely be ditched as the child starts to enter toddler-hood. However, given the lifestyle that Britney & her boys lead, I wouldn’t be that quick to take away his comfort object. As long as it’s not effecting his teeth or speech, it’s not doing any harm.

So im guessing those who say they never see her kids walk have never seen her live and how crazy the paparrazzi is towards her. Someone mentioned honor warren walking, well jessica alba is not a world pop star like britney. She can go to almost any country and get mobbed by cameras, jessica alba, I doubt that. She carries her kids for their safety. That was probably why she almost dropped sean preston when she was pregnant and he was small because the paparazzi wouldnt even let her in/out the car. They don’t care if she has her kids with her or not. They want the pictures so they can sell them. I saw an interesting episode of South Park where they basically talked about how the media wants pictures and other information about popstars, this one was britney spears being spoofed, and they would see her nearly die, but make sure to get her photos. I don’t know why its so hard to understand why britney has to act the way she does in public. She’s like the prey and the paps are the lions. The other issue with Jayden’s pacifier is probably that he uses it to comfort himself. The cameras are in his face too. The paps don’t respect her or her family, like i said, they would likely see her hurt, then risk not getting her picture and selling it for money.

Bancie1031 – I think no one ever said anything about Gwen Stefani always carrying Zuma because the age gap between Kingston and Zuma is greater than the age gap between Preston and Jayden, and because neither Gwen nor Gavin have mentioned yet that Zuma’s walking (although he probably does). Plus we do see Gwen carrying Kingston on occasions, while it’s extremely rare to see Britney carry Preston

I’m a really big britney fan and i must admit that i also noticed britney always holding jayden but i also have 2 children that are just over a year apart in age and i ALWAYS carry my youngest one as she always wants mummy! and also i think that she is lighter than my oldest, maybe only a few pounds, but psychologically i still think of her as the youngest therefore the ‘lightest’.

‘Allie-Rose’ I agree with you about Gwen with Kingston/Zuma. Zuma is a baby, there is 2 1/2 years between those children, Zuma can’t walk yet but we still see many many pictures of Gwen carrying, cudddling etc. Kingston, even quite recently. It’s the same with Denise Richards – she is never holding just one of her girls, they are both held and that’s as it should be – they are only a year apart as well.

(and we wonder why the Shriver report tells us that moms are considered to be less competent and less hireable and promoteable than non moms…maybe if we supported each other instead of tear each other apart we’d all be better off??) Why do you care if her child uses a pacifier? Stef- “Adolescence is hard enough without braces”. Uh, that depends on who you talk to. I had braces as a teenager, and the only things I disliked about having them were that I had to stay away from certain foods that I really liked (due to the risk of them getting stuck in the braces) and that my mouth was sore for at least a day each time the braces were tightened.
Other than that, I didn’t mind having braces at all. In fact, I showed them off with pride (not that I was proud that I had to get braces, but I didn’t see why I should be ashamed of them and try to hide them, ether.)!
As for binky ruining teeth…from what I have read, that actually isn’t much of a risk until the permant teeth come in. That’s usually around 6-7 years old, and I have yet to see a first-grader with a binky! Therefore, I think Jayden will be fine!

Fab to see Britney with her beautiful boys. Why all the criticism? Indeed, today I carried my nearly five year old son through the city – a rare moment of closeness and togetherness without his 2 year old brother around demanding attention. We were eye to eye, he was protected from the crowds, and for all we knew, we could have been the only two people in the world!
I NEVER see Spears’ kids in strollers so no doubt they do HEAPS of walking and running. They probably carry them to get through the paparazzi quickly. You never know what’s going on beyond the camera’s view you know. Let’s applaud Britney for getting her act together instead of criticising things for which we can’t know the context!

Yes, from what we SEE in the photos, Britney appears to be 95 percent Jayden, but to say that she actually IS is a huge leap, IMO. For example, that would be like saying that Honor Warren and Zahara Jolie-Pitt are unhappy 95 percent of the time (both girls tend to not smile in paparazzi photos….although Honor is starting to smile more now that she’s older), or even that Jayden uses a binky 95 percent of the time. We can’t tell something like that just by paparazzi photos.
Anyway, I think what Kit and Hayley (and I belive they ARE two seperate people. Hayley also was commentor number 30, so her response to you is not her only comment here) are trying to say is that we don’t need to know why Britney holds Jayden more in paparazzi photos than she does Preston.
It’s fine to be curious, but at the end of the day, why Britney carries Jayden more than Preston is her business.
My two cents on why she does it, since you are curious, is that Preston IS now too heavy for her to carry (notice I said “NOW”. I’m aware that she carried Jayden most of the time even last year when Preston was his age). She appears to be struggling a bit even to carry Jayden in this picture.
I also agree with the commentor who suggested that it might be because Britney feels guilty about holding Jayden hostage in the bathroom on the night that ended up culiminating in her first forced hospitilization. She also may be trying to make up for lost time with Jayden. After all, her downward spiral began shortly after his birth, so she probably didn’t get to bond with him much during his first year or so of life.
It could also be that Jayden is very much a mama’s boy (in fact, Kevin said so in his PEOPLE interview last December) and/or that Preston prefers to be carried by a guy.

I think we may notice the difference between Brit’s boys and Gwen’s b/c SP and JJ are so close in age where as Zuma is a baby and Kingston is a bit more grown.

CelebBabyLover – I should have looked back to see Hayley’s post (I had read it earlier) but my comments were to “Kit’. In my posts I have said that ‘from what we see in pictures’, which is what I have always based my question on. I have never said or implied that Britney loves one child more or that we know what goes on ‘behind closed doors’. I have said absolutely nothing about Honor Warren or Zahara Jolie-Pitt. My question is based on WHAT WE SEE and from WHAT WE SEE, Britney IS 95% Jayden.
I can agree, to a point, the ‘making it up to Jayden’ ideas but while she is making it up to Jayden these last two years, Sean is being carried and sitting with the nanny/body guard etc.. She’s going to have to do some more ‘making it up to Sean’ next. As for Jayden being lighter – they are about an inch apart in height, so that one pretty much won’t work.
In the big scheme of things it doesn’t matter to me. I’m a busy woman. I actually go about my day not once thinking about Ms. Britney and her lovely children until I come here to relax and enjoy. I see another picture which does bring out my curiousity, so I come to the comment section (created for just that reason) and I wonder….and I comment. You’re right – it is totally Britney’s business why she carries one child more then the other, but it’s also my business (and other posters, including yours) to come here, to look at a picture and to wonder/comment ABOUT THE PICTURES THAT WE SEE.

Silly that everyone has excuses for her to carry her kids. Paparazzi? Riiiiight. You can hold their hand, duh. I have never seen ANY other celebrity constantly carry their kids around like she does. And it’s not even just her–it’s her nannies, etc. too. Like she tells them to carry them around on their hip. i was pointing out that my post was agreeing with kit, it is sad if you go about your day worrying about britney and her boys..she is doing just fine why not leave her be..why does it always have to be why why why why, ….i do not understand it, i think some people get a kick out of being negative and britney is an easy target.
and i have a right to judge those who have nothing nice to say because they give me a reason to…britney has given you guys no reason to have a go but yet some still do….its both a sad refelection of the world and the way mothers treat each other.

Not to be rude, but have you seen what it’s like for her to walk alone outside? It’s chaos, I can see why she carries them.

Silly Excuses- Uh, Jennifer Garner? She used to carry Violet around constantly. Anyway, maybe Preston and Jayden are very prone to running off, so hand-holding won’t work.
