Paula Patton Wishes Previous Pregnancy Rumors Were True

With the cat now out of the bag, singer Robin Thicke and his wife Paula Patton are more than ready to celebrate the impending arrival of their first child.
However, the announcement comes a year and a half after reports swirled that the couple were to be parents, rumors that the couple never confirmed — for good reason, the actress says.
“It was a baby doll dress and it was after the holidays,” Paula explains to OK!
“I probably gained 10-15 pounds, I don’t know, and suddenly after one picture, I was pregnant. What are you going to do? It’s life. I wish it happened. That would’ve been better.”
In the upcoming months of her pregnancy, the actress can rest assured that Robin will be quite the doting dad-to-be!
“He brings me flowers every time he comes to the set,” the Precious star shares.
“He can be so thoughtful. He thinks about me, he cares about me, he’s always making sure that I’m in a good place.”
Joking that Paula “could make a marriage work with a chair,” Robin has equally good things to say about the mama-to-be.
“She’s an incredible woman and she’s very beautiful. I’m just lucky to be with her.”

I have to say, after that picture I saw of her in that baby doll dress i was pretty convinced she was pregnant and i’d heard she’d miscarried. I’m glad that that isn’t true! These two are really beautiful and clearly have something special! I’m sure their baby will be gorgeous. Paula is one of my favorite black actresses(i’m a black woman studying acting in schooL!), i heard shes really good in precious.

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Robin Thicke and that man LOVES, LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his wife. When asked about her he said she was in Philly and he couldn’t wait to get back to her. It was so refreshing to see a man still get a sparkle in his eye talking about his wife. I wish them well on their new bundle of joy.

I am glad that Paula set the rumors to rest. She seems like such a beautiful person, and I’m sure that the baby will be gorgeous as well. Congratulations to them both (and Nana Gloria and Papa Alan, of course!)

electra, im not sure its not true… i heard the baby was born w/ morbid birth defects.
i can understand why she wouldn’t want ppl ALL in their business… but it’s whatever, it’s their business…
if this is their first baby, congratulations… if it’s their second baby… congratulations…

Just for some clarification folks… again the story about her being pregnant last year was NOT true and was just a rumor. There was definitely NO baby born with birth defects born to Paula and Robin. Again, I have known Paula for over ten years now as she is a close friend of my sister in law after both graduating from Hamilton High in LA. I remember there was another thread back when this pregnancy rumor was announced on CBB and another poster wrote how Paula was a former prostitute and only got into acting because she was discovered on the strip. I remember thinking at the time, “HOW ON EARTH DO THESE RUMORS GET STARTED?”

Wow Lizzie, what a revolting rumor! And you can bet people will happily continue to believe and spread it, just like people will continue to believe and spread the miscarriage/birth defects story. It’s a shame people love bad news so much. I’m glad to hear all is well with this stunning couple. They are already the most gorgeous parents in Hollywood, hands down.

I can’t express enough how much I admire these two. They seem compltely in love with one another still which is no small feat considering taht they got together when they were both 14!! Robin is a sexy incrdeibly talented musician and song writer, and although she isn’t nearly as well known, Paula is a wonderful actress who completely blew me away with her performance in “Idewild” it’s definetly worth checking out! Congratulations to them both; that child will no doubt be blessed beyond words having Paula and Robin to love them : )

There are plenty of rumors that surround them and I find all of them disgusting. I’m glad that they rise above them and live their lives with and for each other. I’ve met Robin and that man is the epitome of a gentleman. Anything to the contrary is a bold face lie. I’ve met him enough times that it couldn’t have been an act. I wish this couple all the best with their future bundle of joy. And remember 99% of the things you read on the net is a lie. Until there is a picture, official confirmation, video…proceed with caution. I had a lot of preconceived notions about a few celebs then I met them and they were nothing of the sort, both good and bad.

yes folks, in case there is any shred of doubt left in your minds over whether or not Paula was pregnant before…. SHE WAS NOT. MY bf is close with them and when the rumors first started I called her and asked about it. She confirmed that it was just a rumor and that Paula was pretty embarrassed about it and went on a major work out routine because of the gossip. so there you have it. STOP WITH THE LIES.

Fuzibuni, it’s not as if CBB readers alerted the media and said she was pregnant. Multiple sources reported it so they were just basing their thoughts off of it. No one’s spreading lies except for tabloids and other media outlets who failed to accurately check their sources.
That said, congratulations to the couple. She was beautiful in his video for “Lost Without U.”

I really love this couple, they always look so genuinely happy & in love, and when they talk about each other it’s sincere. It’s refreshing to see a married couple that is in love with each other, and have such a great relationship.
P.S. Erika, you’re not crazy – I think Robin looks a lot like Brad Pitt in this picture. And I saw clips of his new video, and he could be Brad Pitt’s twin. 2 very handsome men.
