Tiffani Thiessen Expecting First Child

Actress Tiffani Theissen and her husband, artist and actor Brady Smith, are expecting their first baby next May, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“We are over the moon!” the couple said in a statement. “It’s something we’ve wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it’s actually happening.”
Balancing motherhood with her new role on USA’s drama White Collar will be a welcome adjustment for the star, best known for her work on Saved By the Bell and the original Beverly Hills 90210.
“I’ve never done it – it’s going to be a whole new thing,” she told PEOPLE in May when talking about the idea of becoming a mom.
Tiffani, 35, and Brady have been married since 2005.

When I’d saw Tiffani as “Kelly” on an episode of “Saved by the Bell” caring for her infant brother, I said to myself, “She’s gonna be a great mom; you can’t fake that.”

I sort of got the feeling from their statement that they have been trying for a while without success. Now I feel a little bit bad about those interviews where people asked when she was having a baby and she was probably trying the whole time. Congratulations to Tiffani and Brady!

Jill- I don’t know that much about her show, but from what I can gather, it’s not the type of show with a lot of stunts and things like that. Therefore, I’m sure Tiffani will be fine.

I loved her on saved by the bell and 90210 and met her when I was 13, she was so sweet. I hope the baby looks like her, she was a gorgeous child, she used to model. I hope the baby is born on my birthday in may lol. I think she will have a girl just a feeling.

Terri is right. A few months ago CBB featured a story on Tiffani where she talked about promoting her new TV show and said that now isn’t the best time to have a baby. She got blasted by a lot of commentors who said that she’s already in her mid-30’s and must be naive or ignorant to think she’ll easily get pregnant for very long. I think it’s obvious that she and Brady have been trying to conceive for quite some time, and it must have been tough answering the same, “When are you going to have a baby?” question repeatedly. It should prove to all of us that things aren’t always as they seem.

I am so glad to see that Tiffani is finally pregnant. I had been wondering if she would ever have any kids. I am glad for her as I have always liked her from BH 90210 & several movies. Congrats to Tiffani & Brady.

OMG, SO excited for her!! Kelly Kapowski is all grown up now, lol.. I’m loving her new show too (White Collar), its amazing and i’m just so happy that shes back on TV every week!
