Terrence Howard Plays the Part of Prince Charming For His Girls

For father-of-three Terrence Howard the childhood fairy tales of a little girl’s Prince Charming are a part of life he wholeheartedly believes in.
“Yes, you have to believe that or the world stops spinning,” he tells Redbook magazine. And while his daughters may one day meet a prince of their own, Terrence admits that their first knight in shining armor has already made his appearance.
“The first Prince Charming in our lives is our father, and the first Princess Charming is our mother. I think parents should show their children how to love, how they should be loved.”
In turn, Terrence notes, his girls have taught him a thing or two when it comes to women. “Young men tend to come into relationships feeling very strong and powerful, and they make a lot of mistakes,” he muses. However, according to the actor, welcoming a daughter changes it all.
“You see women through a whole different light because now you know that they were once someone’s little girl,” he adds. “I wish I’d had this knowledge when I was 20 — I wish I could call all the women I’ve ever dated and apologize. I didn’t know how precious they were. I know better now.”
Lending his voice as James in the Disney movie Princess and the Frog, Terrence drew inspiration from his own relationship he shares with his daughters. “Because they are my little princesses,” he says. “When I was speaking as my character, I was speaking to my little girls.”
Terrence and his estranged wife Lori McCommas are parents to Aubrey, 16, Hunter, 14, and Heaven, 12.

Um didn’t he assault his wife several years ago? Some Prince Charming. I hope his kids weren’t around to see that.

Would not his words be slightly more poetic if he were still with his wife? Hmm.

For those inquiring about the assault charge, this is from the wikipedia article on Terrence.
“In February 2009 it was reported on the The Smoking Gun that Howard was arrested in 2001 for a variety of charges related to a violent attack on his estranged wife, including simple assault, terrorist threats, harassment and stalking. According to police reports, he arrived at her house after an argument on the phone, forced entry into her home by breaking in doors, and chased her into the back yard where he punched her twice in the face with a closed fist. The violent attack ended when Howard’s brother stopped it. In 2002 he pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.[13]”

Reading this interview you’d think his daughters were all under 8!! I doubt he’s playing Prince Charming to them now, they must have princes of their own!

He was also arrested for assaulting a flight attendant. He has also made many misogynistic comments about women in interviews and said “It’s just life, man. Chris is a great guy. He’ll be alright. And Rihanna knows he loves her, you know? They’ll be alright” when asked about Rihanna’s assault. This guy is pretty darn far from a Prince Charming.

omg!!! that’s so disappointing to me…I always thought he was a stand-up guy. He seems so nice…guess you can never really know someone just by readin what they’ve said. i remember watching ‘The Brave One’ and ‘August Rush’ and going – “I love this guy! Terrence is so good!” Now I’m kind of disgusted. Would not want to be his daughter and hear that my dad hit my mother…if it’s true

I saw him after the play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He was so gracious to the fans. Of all the actors, he stood out there signing autographs and taking pics until every fan was satisfied before making his exit. He has made some really weird comments about women in the past (baby wipes, hello?!), but on the professional front he gets a gold star from me.

O please people….if you all depend on wikapedia for your information you are bound to be misled.
I’m not saying it didn’t happen or did, I wasn’t there but lets not start accusing the man until we know the facts.
Enjoy the article and move on!!!!
