“I love being a housewife. I am dead serious. There is enormous satisfaction when you’re a mother and you’ve gotten through a day. I can’t explain it. It’s different than being satisfied about your work life, which makes you worry more.”

Cinch Seat: A Stylish, Yet Functional Booster Seat!

Cinch Seat

Once your child graduates from a high chair to a big chair, there’s that tricky in-between stage where they still need a boost.

London-based designer Adam Kaliski — who studied sculpture at the Royal College of Art — has created a modern-looking booster chair that you and your little one will love. The Cinch Seat (approximately $95 for white) is functional, yet chic and comes in a range of colors to complement any decor.

Made with thick laminated birch plywood, it comes with an adjustable child harness, removable straps to attach it to an adult chair and a cotton canvas storage bag for easy transport.

There are two seat heights depending on the size of your baby/toddler — it’s recommended for babies who are sitting up to children aged 4. Simple to assemble and take apart, it also stores away easily.

Want one? Contact the designer to order– he will ship to the US. Also, prices for other colors are available upon request.

That looks so cheap and not well made. It looks like something I could make! Not worth $95!

  2. Cece Says:

This looks like the cubicles at the library at UCLA where I would study. Plus, it doesn’t even look safe on the bottom – if it has to balance on a chair. If a child is old enough to graduate to a seat like this, you might as well just get a cute booster seat that lays flat. Target has travel ones that look safer.

  3. skunknuggets Says:

Functional….probably. Stylish….no. I wouldn’t exactly call it “modern” either, as noted in the description. It looks like something made about 40 years ago.

It looks like a cubicle in the office or the library. And doesnt even look comfy, do children really want to sit on a straight piece of wood? It also looks like it will tip over forwards. Who wrote this review?

  5. Grandma2Three Says:

$95, really? This looks like something my kids put together in woodshop. It doesn’t even look comfortable and I’ll bet it’s a pain to clean.

  6. megan Says:

That looks unsafe. And I’m cracking up at the cardboard rocking horse he’s selling.

  7. Jen Says:

I’m so glad that all the comments have echoed what I was thinking as I read the post.

  8. Julie Says:

Does not look like something “stylish” at all… does anyone every really buy this thing? I bought one at a local store several years ago for a grandchild which will now be used for our new son… it has been used for several grandchildren and has held up great. I think I paid under $25 bucks for it.

  9. megan Says:

Also, I’m a bit baffled by the straps. There’s straps to go over the bottom of the chair & a strap to put the child’s legs through; but I don’t see a strap to hold the seat to the back of the chair. That seems like a child could pitch themselves / or the seat off the chair easily

  10. Karey Says:

Ummm . . . yikes!? This looks this particle board at best, and looks like an accident waiting to happen.

  11. Andy Says:

I have one and it’s great, very safe, easy to use and clean. my kids love it.

  12. Olivia Says:

Looks cool and functional and I’m going to buy one!
