The next few months will be a whirlwind beginning to a new life for Jane Carrey, and the 22-year-old singer couldn’t be more ready. Due with her first child on March 3rd, Jane reveals to Entertainment Tonight Canada that she and her fiancé Alex Santana are thrilled to be welcoming a baby boy — whom they’ll be naming Jackson Riley — come spring.

“I’m excited about it because I never really got along with girls growing up,” she explains. “I was a little afraid that if it was a girl that she would not like me, you know? So I’m very happy about the boy.”

Before the baby carriage arrives, however, Jane and Blood Money rocker Alex will tie the knot in a “not too fancy, very laid back and cool” wedding later this month.

According to the mama-to-be the countdown is officially on! “It kind of dawned on us three weeks ago that we still had a bunch to plan before the wedding, so now we’re [rushing] to get things done, but it’ll work,” she says. “It’ll be the day before the wedding and we’ll find out everything’s okay.”

While last-minute details are still up in the air, Jane insists that one thing is for certain: her father, actor Jim Carrey, will be on hand to walk her down the aisle! “Of course he is, he better!” she laughs.

And while marriage and baby may be happening in conjunction, Jane says it was a simple coincidence. “[Alex] asked me to marry him and then I found out that we were going to have a baby. The baby wasn’t planned exactly, but our future was,” she explains. “It was going to be in there somewhere, we just didn’t know when.”

Finishing up her second trimester, the Jane Carrey Band singer — who craved red meat and onions and not much else the first month of her pregnancy — has moved past her aversion to food and admits that lately, she will devour anything in her path. “It’s not really a specific anything, it’s just more like, ‘Food now, thank you very much,’” she laughs.

To that end, Jane has developed a hankering for donuts!

“I’ll smell donuts when donuts are nowhere near and I’ll be like, ‘Who’s got donuts?’ There’s no donuts in the building.”

In an effort to keep the extra calories in check, Jane has taken up prenatal Pilates, but laughs that the routines have yet to show results in her favor! “I’m trying to stay in fairly good shape, but it’s not working very well because everything still doesn’t fit,” she confesses. “I do Pilates and then I go to the gym three times a week when I can for the most part…so that my butt doesn’t fall down on the floor.”

“I am so proud of Nicole and Joel,” boasted second-time grandfather Lionel Richie, at the UNSF’s An Evening of Stars Saturday, honoring the legendary singer, just days after his daughter Nicole Richie, 27, and Joel Madden, 30, welcomed son Sparrow James Midnight into the world.

“[Nicole] is the happiest woman ever. She is just in total control,” he said. “I’m the one that’s nervous!”

How is Sparrow’s big sis Harlow Winter Kate, 20 months, adjusting to her new sibling? “Harlow right now is enjoying the baby until she finds out it’s staying,” jokes Lionel.

And, indeed Sparrow is truly one of the family. “He looks just like Harlow,” says grandpa. “All babies sort of look the same as their siblings, but this is identical.” Which parent does Sparrow resemble most? “Mom did that,” Lionel says firmly.

Continuing his spoiling tradition, the singer says he already brought the baby a “football helmet and cleats.” But admits that he’s a little ahead of the game. “They told me it wasn’t time yet,” he says with a laugh.

Determined for his grandson to be a brash boy, Lionel says, “Sparrow may not be the football playing name, but he’ll get bruised somewhere in the game.”

Though his excitement peaked when becoming a grandfather the first time — “When I hear the words Papa or Popi, forget about it,” says Lionel of Harlow’s names for him — he says his second grandchild has him feeling “just over the top!”

Actor Jim Carrey will soon be taking on a new role: that of grandfather! In a statement released today, Jim confirmed that Jane — his daughter with ex-wife Melissa — and her fiancé Alex Santana will soon be welcoming their first child.

“I am very excited,” says the proud grandpa-to-be. “Jane is going to be a great mom.”

Jane, 21, fronts The Jane Carrey Band, while Alex is a member of the rock band Blood Money. Details regarding a due date have not been released.

Lionel Richie shares a tender moment with family — his expectant daughter Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden — backstage at the Staples Center during Monday’s Michael Jackson memorial.

Lionel, who performed the classic sermon “Jesus is Love,” later returned to the stage for an all-star performance of his 1985 hit “We Are the World,” which he cowrote with the King of Pop.

Nicole, who is due in late summer, had been Michael’s goddaughter.

Happy 4th Birthday Lola Rose! Denise Richards spent Monday at Disneyland, celebrating her youngest daughter’s birthday with Lola, Sam, 5, and her father. The group met Cinderella and Snow White (Lola was a bit more excited than Sam!), rode rides and sat down to a princess birthday cake. Later that night, dad Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke came over for birthday cake, Denise shared via Twitter.

Having recently welcomed his sixth and seventh grandchildren — 13-day-old fraternal twins Robert ‘Bob’ (yes, he called him Robert on-air!) and Max Sheen – actor Martin Sheen, 68, was beaming with pride during a Monday appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show. Noting that his three adult grandchildren are “all doing very well,” Martin says that they have already laid the groundwork with the younger Sheens with regard to what he will — and won’t! —  be called. “From the time they were very small, they’ve referred to me as ‘Peach,’” he explains.

“I was always quoting Shakespeare, using highfalutin language when they were young. So they used to call me ‘Grandpeachual.’ And even now, they’ll call me up and say ‘Hi Peach! How ‘ya doin’?”

The twins are Martin’s son Charlie Sheen’s first children with wife Brooke Mueller Sheen. Charlie is also dad to Sam J., 5, and Lola Rose, 3 ½, with ex-wife Denise Richards and daughter Cassandra, 24, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt. Martin’s son Emilio Estevez is dad to Taylor Levi, 24, and Paloma Rae, 23, with ex-girlfriend Carey Salley.

Since becoming a mother in 2004 when she welcomed her daughter Apple Blythe Alison, little of actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s life has gone untouched. “Motherhood has changed me in every way. It changed everything from my DNA on up,” she reveals to OK!. “My perspective is so much different and the way I spend my day is different.” For the actress, who is currently working on several films, that time during the day is often spent missing her 4 ½-year-old daughter and 2 ½-year-old son Moses as she finds herself wondering what her brood is up to. However, despite longing for her family, Gwyneth has no complaints. “It is also nice to acknowledge that I am a woman, I’m an artist, I work and it’s part of who I am,” she explains.

Those long hours spent on set, in addition to her husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s successful career, has provided the proud parents with the means to offer the world to Apple and Moses – and Gwyneth is making it her priority to raise two appreciative and grounded children.

“I always try to instill that they’re very lucky and most children don’t get the things that they get. [I teach them] to be mindful and hopefully it will stick with them.”

With Chris out on tour with his band, the 37-year-old relies on her mother, actress Blythe Danner for support — and an extra set of hands! Clearly elated to spend time with her grandchildren, Blythe admits that listening to the children confess how much they miss her is music to her ears. “I love that,” she says. As for her daughter, the 66-year-old grandmother has only admiration for the life she leads. “Gwyneth is brilliant. She’s an extraordinary mother. She’s wonderful,” she gushes, adding that she is “very proud of her.”

Music legend James Taylor is living large — kid style! A father to his 7-year-old twins Henry and Rufus and a grandfather to 16-month-old Bodhi, whose mom is James’ daughter Sally, the singer has babies on the brain. While he shares that having twins makes life “easier than having two kids of different ages — you basically just do everything twice” — he admits that nothing compares to having grandchildren!

“Kids are kids, but any grandfather will tell you — you get to hand them back to their parents when you’re tired. When you’ve got your own, you’ve got them all the time.”

The daughter of two classic singer/songwriters — her mom is Carly Simon — Sally shares that her parents have constantly encouraged her to follow her dreams, something she says has worked well for her family. “To continuously do what your heart tells you to do is something that they’re both products of,” she explains. “If I can continue to do that, I think I’ll probably be in good standing.”

Getting her parents seal of approval is important for Sally and the first-time mom received two thumbs up when she revealed to her parents the name of her baby boy. Recalling that “they both really loved it,” Sally explains that the zen-like name worked well for her parents. “My dad’s all about vowels and consonant sounds and being able to call someone like Bodhi…that was perfect for him,” she says. “My mom just loved the concept of the magical spirituality of it.”

As for Sally and her husband Dean Bragonier, their frequent travels to Southeast Asia inspired the “exotic” moniker, which is derived from Buddhism.

“Bodhi is the tree that the Buddha was enlightened under, and in Buddhism, Bodhi is someone who doesn’t need to incarnate again, but incarnates for the compassion of helping others to achieve enlightenment. Bodhi’s fatwa is way too long and way to heavy. You just don’t want to burden your son with the heavy load of having to become a Buddhist monk, so what are you going to do?”
