Celeb Sighting

Looks like the latest Stefani-Rossdale co-production won’t be making a UK debut after all! CBB reader Laura spotted Gwen Stefani in the customs line at LAX airport on Monday, and told us about her sighting.

While Gwen’s very pregnant, she does not look huge. She was extremely gracious to all the young girls that wanted to have a photo with her — not sure I’d feel the same way after a 10 hour flight with a toddler!

Gwen and husband Gavin Rossdale expect their delivery surprise later this month.

CBB reader Melanie was out and about in Brooklyn on Wednesday when she ran into not one, but two of Celebrity Baby Blog’s favorite tots and their famous mothers! Spotting Keri Russell with almost 13-month old son River, and Michelle Williams with 2 ½-year old Matilda, Melanie sent us an email detailing her experience.

As I was waiting to cross Atlantic Ave., I turned to my left to seeKeri Russell, with little River in a stroller, next to me. She smiledat me kindly, and she really looked absolutely beautiful (wearing oneof her straw hats). River was adorable! They went on ahead of me, butabout 10 minutes later, I ran into them again while shopping in UrbanOutfitters!

About an hour or so later, I was on my way to the subway, when Irounded the corner as Michelle Williams, Matilda Ledger, and her nannywere leaving their house.

Michelle was so pretty, and little Matilda,while truly looking the spitting image of her dad Heath, cracked me up,because she was having a mini tantrum about something, and Michellejust spoke to her calmly, and held her hand as they walked down thestreet. At one point, they stopped so that Matilda could get into herstroller. It just made me chuckle, because I guess 2-year-olds are2-year-olds, celebrity babies or not!

I didn’t want to intrude on these two moms, so I didn’t approach them. I just thought you and others might like to knowthat Michelle and Keri were being regular moms in Brooklyn yesterday, andtheir kids are every bit as cute (cuter, even!) in person as they lookin the pictures I see on Celebrity Baby Blog!

CBB reader Christy, recently wrote in to us to tell us that she spotted Adam Sandler, 41, and his daughter, Sadie Madison, 2, in Pittsburgh last weekend. They were in town for his niece’s college graduation.

Adam Sandler and [his] daughter, Sadie Sandler, spent the weekend in Pittsburgh, PA attending the graduation of Adam’s niece (from Carnegie Mellon University).  Adam and his family stayed at a hotel in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh — where my mother and my family also happened to be staying for my husband’s own graduation from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  We talked to Adam briefly…he was very friendly and his limo driver shared that he was down to earth and [as] funny as you would expect!

I spied Sadie this morning being loaded into a black SUV (by what seemed to be a nanny) on the way to the airport.  She is quite cute in person and had her hair done in two pigtails.

Adam’s wife and Sadie’s mother is Jackie Titone, 32, who is currently expecting their second child.

Actress Angelina Jolie, 32, and sons Maddox Chivan, 6 ½, and Pax Thien, 4, visited the Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. on Monday, April 7th.  The boys reportedly asked numerous questions about the aerial exhibits.

The family was in town for Angelina to attend a Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards gala and speak to the Council on Foreign Relations.

Angelina and Brad Pitt expect their fifth child this summer.

Actress Marcia Cross, 46, husband Tom Mahoney, and their fraternal twin daughters Eden (with Marcia) and Savannah (with Tom), 13 months, spent the afternoon at the park on Sunday, April 6th. A CBB reader saw them there and wrote in,

Yesterday we spotted Marcia, Tom and the girls at Will Rogers Park withanother adorable family. They were all so cute! They are the bestfamily! Marcia even played a little ball with the other family’s littleboy and looked very comfortable, even though there were lots of paps!She came over and showed one of her girls our dog and was really nice. Love them!

CBB reader TheatreChick spotted actor Alec Baldwin, 49, and his daughter Ireland Eliesse, 12, on Sunday, March 30th while taking in Legally Blonde: The Musical.  She recalls,

My friends and I were sitting across the aisle from Alec Baldwin at the 2 p.m. matinee of Legally Blonde today.  He seemed to be there with a bunch of people, including his daughter Ireland and some girls who I assume were her friends. Alec sat a few rows behind Ireland and the other girls. Perhaps giving her and her friends some space instead of hovering?

Ireland’s mom is actress Kim Basinger.

CBB reader Erin was out and about in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, March 21st and happened to spot Larry Birkhead, 35, and his daughter Dannielynn Hope, 18 months.  She was gracious enough to send in her experience.

I was at the mall in Louisville today doing some shopping and who did I run into, Larry Birkhead, little Dannielynn, and I am assuming a nanny. 

She was so cute, although she was getting a little fussy, and obviously didn’t want to be in her stroller, but running around. They were leaving the mall, but I think that they may have just visited with the Easter Bunny because that is where they were leaving (that area) when I spotted them.

Dannielynn’s mom is the late Anna Nicole Smith.

CBB readers Carine and Jessica attended the February 24th Spice Girls concert in Montreal, Canada and snapped pictures of Melanie Brown, 32, on stage with daughter Angel Iris Murphy, 11 months.  Angel’s father is actor Eddie Murphy.

CBB reader Colleen was at the Spice Girls concert in Chicago last night and was lucky enough to spot the children of the Spice Girls up on stage with their moms. Here is Colleen’s experience:

Last night I was at the Chicago Spice Girls concert at the United Center. At the beginning of Mama the girls seemed pretty emotional.

I was paying attention to the slide show that plays during the song. It’s a mixture of photos of the Spice Girls as kids, Spice Girls with their moms, and the Spice Girls’ own children. I was paying pretty close attention to the slide show when my sister nudged me and said "Look, her baby"; Emma [Bunton] had brought Beau on stage. I thought we were lucky to see just him when next thing I know Victoria [Beckham] is helping Cruz up on the stage. I thought that was all the Spice Babies we’d get to see but soon Romeo joined his mom and Brooklyn came up last. Victoria was sort of emotional and the kids gave her hugs.

Soon Melanie [Brown] had Angel too. At one point she slipped her headphones off and Mel had to pick them up. Phoenix and Bluebell were not on stage. As they walked off stage Geri held hands with Romeo, who held hands with Brooklyn. At one point Brooklyn bent down to whisper something to Romeo, then put his arm around him.

They stopped at the end of the stage to finish the song. Brooklyn gave his mom a hug. Cruz seemed happiest to be on stage followed by Brooklyn who couldn’t stop smiling. I didn’t see any of the Spice dads. In one photo it looks like it could be David lifting Romeo up to his mom, but I can’t tell.

The Spice Girls have seven children between the five of them (Mel C is the only one without a child). Geri Halliwell has daughter Bluebell Madonna, 21 months, Victoria Beckham has Brooklyn Joseph, 8 ½, Romeo James, 5, and Cruz David, 3 next week, Melanie Brown has Phoenix Chi, 8 ½, and Angel Iris, 10 months, and Emma Bunton has Beau Lee, 6 months.

The Spice kids were spotted on stage in London in December.

Just wanted to write in to tell you that I saw Melissa Joan Hart and her son [Mason Wilkerson], along with other family members, at DisneyLand tonight (Jan. 11th). Mason was very cute running with his Nemo balloon, while Melissa pushed his stroller and visited with family members.

Mason celebrated his second birthday on Friday, so perhaps it was a celebratory trip?
