"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Cool parenting site of the week: TreeHugger.com

TreeHugger.com is the leading online media company dedicated to everything modern yet environmentally responsible. Their leadership has been recognized by the Bloggies, the Webbies, the Vloggies as well as Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Time, Domino, The Oprah Winfrey Show and many others. Offering environmental news, information, and tools to help people green their lives, TreeHugger brings sustainability into the mainstream.
We think their blog is great but what really stands out are their How to Go Green Guides. They’ll tell you how to green your pet, car, work, coffee and tea, wedding, public transportation, and even your dishwasher with varying levels of difficulty and dedication.
For greening your kids’ toys, they write,
It’s a little cliché but true nonetheless, your children and yourchildren’s children will inherit the world that we create today. So,the stuff we give them shouldn’t make life any harder on them in thefuture. If that alone isn’t enough, how about the fact that your childwill, more likely than not, chew everything edible and non-edible inhis/her sight. Now there’s motivation to make sure your child’splaythings are green and healthy! Here we’ll give you the scoop on howto find more sustainable and less toxic toys for your little TreeHuggerso you can do good for your child and the environment.
Right on! Even if you’re not ready to go hardcore with fair-trade, ecological and locally made toys, you can do simple things like avoiding battery-operated toys (or if your kid insists, use rechargable batteries), only buy PVC-free toys, hang onto the boxes toys come in for future art projects, and more. They even suggest toys that are better for the environment and your child.
And if you have a baby or expecting one soon, you really should read their How to Green Your Baby Guide.
If you’re into a green lifestyle and want to write about it, check out their job postings.

Cool Parenting Site of the Week: Mommies with Style

Mommies with Style is a community of moms. They’ve got a daily blog with tons of great product reviews. Some of their favorite topics include: diaper bags, strollers, maternity clothes, toddler/preschool toys, jewelry and much more. We like them so much we even share two of our reviewers with them: Ciaran and Nancy!
Most product reviews include a coupon code or discount exclusive to their readers. They’ve also got some great forums on a message board that’s always hopping with moms chatting about life, products and whatever they feel like talking about.
What we love most: Their newsletter is really well-edited. Kind of like Daily Candy for middle class moms.
Visit Mommies with Style and come back to tell us what you think.

Featured blogs will include Laid-Off Dad, Mommies with Style, Daddytypes, Alpha Mom, Baby Chic 101, Cool Mom Picks, Parent Hacks, Baby Gadget, Dooce and The Silly Wagon.
In the meantime, we’d like to hear which parenting sites are your favorite. Please post a comment below, telling us which are your favorites and why. Also, if you have a parenting blog, tell us about it and why we’ll love it. Don’t forget to include the URL!
Note: Please keep it limited to sites related to parenting, children, or family. Online boutiques are fine- make sure you tell us what’s special about the store such as amazing customer service, carefully edited selection, fun features, etc. Vendors are encouraged to let us know about their blogs!
