Actress Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, was spotted out in Baton Rouge, LA on Thursday. Jamie Lynn and her cousin made the 80 mile trip from Kentwood to register for baby gifts at Babies ‘R’ Us, in anticipation of Jamie Lynn’s upcoming baby shower — the event date listed on the site is July 10th, but we assume that refers to the due date, as it would be a rather late shower. Jamie Lynn also wore a shirt reading "The Rumors Are True" – perhaps confirmation of the engagement rumor, considering the new diamond ring on her finger?

While Jamie Lynn had expressed her desire to know the sex, it seems that she and Casey Aldridge are yet to find out (or are unwilling to share), as she registered for gender-neutral colors. The Zoey 101 star’s choices included teething rings, a Britax car seat, an ultrasound frame, a Cookie Monster bath towel and a Baby Neptune Ocean Gym. Most of the items stayed within a neutral color palette, including green items and Disney Winnie the Pooh and Tigger characters.

Former member of Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton, 25, talked to Sunday Mirror about her family life and fiancé Riad Erraji, 30. Natasha who has sons Josh, 5, with ex-fiancé Fran Cosgrove, 29, and Harry, 2 1/2, with ex-fiancé Gavin Hatcher, says that she is keen to extend her family.

Riad is too. He loves my boys Josh and Harry dearly, but we definitely want more kids. I was actually watching a documentary last night on children and I thought, "I’m so broody!"

Jenny Frost [of Atomic Kitten] is due soon and three of my other friends are pregnant too, so I’m surrounded by mums-to-be. And weirdly, someone recently told me they’d had a dream I was pregnant. I was like. "Eek, not before the wedding! I want to fit in me dress!"

Natasha would love two more children but the couple has no plan,

I love being a mum, it’s the one thing I’m good at. And of course I’d love to have a little girl, but you can’t ask for what you want. As long as it’s healthy I’m not bothered. And if all my kids are boys I’ll be well looked after when I’m older.

Josh and Harry are also keen on having a baby brother or sister,

Oh Josh and Harry are keen. For some bizarre reason Harry was in nursery the other week, and he told his teacher mummy was pregnant. I had the teachers going, "Congratulations!" So he must want a new brother or sister. It’s very cute.

Natasha says that Riad loves her sons as his own,

It was important to me for Riad to get on with my kids, but I wasn’t going to force them on him. I thought it was up to him to want to take that next step with our relationship. You know, get to know my family. When he did meet them, they loved him and he taught them how to play footie. Now we’re a dead close family.

She is now used to having two small children,

As time goes on, motherhood gets easier. When you’re in a stable relationship you feel more confident and you worry less about being a perfect parent.

If I take time out I like to treat myself to a blow-dry in the hairdressers every week, because my hair is naturally curly. Either that or go for an aromatherapy massage. But lately I’ve really got into this website called Popcap.com where you can download games like Sudoku or crosswords. Playing them for five minutes is relaxing and I’m getting quite addicted.

Riad and Natasha are due to marry in November.

The White House announced today that President Bush and Mrs. Bush’s daughter Jenna, 25, is engaged to be married. Jenna was proposed to on Wednesday by longtime boyfriend Henry Hager, 29. The White House released the following statement,

President and Mrs. George W. Bush are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Bush, to Mr. Henry Hager, son of the Honorable and Mrs. John H. Hager of Richmond, Virginia. Miss Bush and Mr. Hager became engaged Wednesday, August 15, 2007.

Henry, who has an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, will be returning to school this fall to complete his master’s degree in business administration at the University of Virginia.

Jenna returned in late June from a trip with her mom, Laura, to Africa. The two, who have both worked as schoolteachers, currently are collaborating on a children’s picture story to be published in spring 2008. Proceeds are to be donated to two education programs: Teach for America and The New Teacher Project.

Jenna also has her own book coming out in the fall. Ana’s Story, based on her time working for UNICEF, tells of a 17-year-old single mother who is HIV positive.

No wedding date has been set, according to Laura Bush’s press secretary, Sally McDonough.

As for the President and First Lady, Sally says, ‘They’re happy for both of them.’ 

The President and First Lady have another daughter, Barbara, 25, who is Jenna’s fraternal twin.

Regis also addressed the persistent engagement and wedding rumors that follow Joel and Nicole Richie, 25 — not that Joel did anything to help matters. When asked by Regis, ‘You’re going to present her, maybe, with — did I hear the right thing, or should I not even talk about this? A little ring?‘ Joel laughed and answered,

Oh…well…I was hoping it would be a surprise, but now…

Regis quickly steered the conversation to Joel’s identical twin Benji Madden, but was met with more engagement talk, as Benji confirmed that he is set to marry Australian actress Sophie Monk.

Backstreet Boys singer Howie Dorough and his fiancee, Leigh Boniello, became engaged on New Year’s Eve but have kept it private. However, the two are not doing the same when it comes to talking about starting a family. 

The 33-year-old boy band member exclaimed,

Hopefully I will be the next one to add to the [Backstreet Boy] family.

Band member Brian Littrell has a four-year-old son, Baylee, and former member Kevin Richardson and his wife welcomed son Mason on July 3 of this year.

Denise Richards has taken the high road with extending congratulations to her ex-husband and father of her children, Charlie Sheen, on his recent engagement to girlfriend Brooke Mueller. When asked Tuesday by People magazine about how she felt regarding the engagement, Denise said,

I am genuinely happy for the two of them, my girls [Sam, 3 and Lola, 2] really like her. That’s all that matters to me.

Denise and Brooke were spotted enjoying a lunch date with Sam last week.

Contrary to rumors floating around on the Internet, R&B singers Tyrese and Brandy are not engaged.  In actuality, Brandy was hosting a baby shower for Tyrese’s pregnant girlfriend Norma on June 7 when Tyrese made an unexpected appearance to propose marriage.  Says a rep for Brandy:

There’s no truth to the rumors that Tyrese proposed to Brandy; he actually asked his girlfriend to marry him at the shower.

Tyrese and Norma drew headlines in January when an early a.m. verbal altercation between the couple reportedly turned physical, all while Norma was 11-weeks pregnant.  No charges were filed with regard to the incident, and Norma later said that the events of that morning were "distorted."

Salma Hayek’s, 40, publicist gave the New York Daily News the following statement today,

Businessman, Francois-Henri Pinault, and hisfiancee, Salma Hayek, are happy to announce they are expecting thearrival of their first child.

Mr. Pinault is the CEO of the world’s third-largestluxury conglomerate, PPR, which owns Gucci and Yves St. Laurent amongothers. In other words, he’s rich.

CBB had posted a rumor about the pregnancy earlier this week – and many of you correctly guessed that she was pregnant! We thought wrong though!

Brittany Murphy and boyfriend Joe Macaluso became engaged over the Christmas holidays. No wedding date has been announced.

The couple met when he was working as a production assistant on Little Black Book and she was starring in it. Last year, Brittany told People magazine about Joe, "I’m so happy right now. I feel so lucky."
