I’ve long admired Mutsy from afar but sticker shock always kept me from snapping one up.

This fall Mutsy — stroller maker of choice for celebrity moms like Laila Ali and Elin Woods — has debuted a new, more affordable model.

The Transporter ($399) isn’t a budget stroller by any stretch of the imagination, but it offers features and quality more often found in strollers that cost twice the price.

Chariot Cougar 2

Maybe you first noticed Chariot carriers when you saw Jennifer Garner with one. Or maybe you noticed a neighborhood mom towing kids to preschool in one that’s attached to the back of her bike. Perhaps your friend takes her kids cross-country skiing with hers. Whatever your introduction, it’s now time for you to get to know these amazing kid-carriers a little better.

Chariot is a well-known, Canadian-made bike trailer (and then some). The company calls the Chariot X-Country series “adventure carriers” but I like to think of them as SUVs for kids… and parents! And that’s why — for the first time ever — I’m turning to my husband for some help with this review. He has long been drooling over Chariot carriers so when the Cougar 2 ($675) came our way, he was quick to lunge for the box and set it up. But if he’s going to get all the fun, then I think he’s going to have to do some of the work, too! And so here we offer (mostly from the dad-perspective for a change) our take on the Chariot Cougar 2.

The former supermodel and Baby Phat CEO stopped by high-end baby boutique Bel Bambini in L.A. last week to pick up some new wheels for Kenzo, her 3-month-old baby boy.

Kimora left the store pushing Baby Jogger’s City Elite Stroller in black, $450, a fave among celebs like Halle Berry and Jonny Lee Miller. Now Kenzo, mom and dad Djimon Hounsou will be strolling in style!

Hear that? Probably not. Why? Because the Step2 Whisper Ride Buggy ($60) isn’t one of those noisy plastic ride-on toys that you can hear from three blocks away. And that’s just one of the reasons I love it.

Available in blue or pink, this mini car is a terrific stroller alternative. It sports a cupholder, pretend steering wheel, battery-powered horn, seatbelt and a small storage compartment under the hood — all things your little one will enjoy.
