Groovy Paper — Online Stationery Shop to the Stars!

Groovy Paper

Getting my eight-year-old daughter, Olivia, to write thank you notes used to be a real chore. Then I wised up and bought her personalized cards. Proud to see her name in print, she began dashing off thank you notes like a pro, even adding little drawings as a personal touch!

Leah Remini was probably thinking the same thing when she ordered customized thank you cards for daughter, Sofia, from Groovy Paper, an online stationery boutique with a wide range of hip and fun designs. Leah chose super cute Gym-Pink thank you cards ($155 for set of 50, $215 for set of 100).

For a sweet and handy baby shower gift, Reese Witherspoon gifted friend Amanda Peet personalized Cake Girl thank you cards ($155 for a set of 50, $215 for 100) for Peet’s newborn daughter, Frankie.

This cool e-stationery shop also stocks other paper goods including change of address cards, birth announcements and party invitations for both adults and kids alike. Brooke Shields recently ordered the Olivia Friends (left) over-sized birthday invites ($165 for 50, $235 for 100) for daughter Rowan’s birthday party.

Check out the site’s other stylish options and snap up some stationary for your little ones!

Shutterfly Photo Book: A Beautiful Book For Baby’s First Year (and Beyond!)

The birth of my son brought out in me a sudden zeal to become an amateur photographer. But hundreds (upon hundreds!) of snapshots later, I never got any closer to creating that album of Travis’s first year – until I got some help from Shutterfly’s Photo Book system (prices begin at $12.99 for a 5×7 size, 20-page book).

Tiny Prints Adds Nickelodeon Themes to Its Repetoire

Every time I visit TinyPrints.com, it seems like they’ve grown another wing. The site which originally offered birth announcements and holiday cards but now includes adult party and bar/bat mitzvah invitations and personal stationery,  has just added Nickelodeon-themed birthday party invitations and every day stationery designs.

I generally find that themed or licensed products can be kind of cheesy but the new Nickelodeon Collection is really tasteful and cool. It combines your kid’s favorite Nickelodeon characters like The Backyardigans, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Blue’s Clues, Go, Diego, Go!, Ni Hao, Kai-lan, and The Wonder Pets in Tiny Prints’ unique modern style.

Available exclusively at TinyPrints.com.

Penny People Designs Alphabet Prints: A-B-C-D-liciously Awesome Wall Art

As a parent, I find it difficult to resist something with my children’s names on it. But personalized items are usually expensive or (if you’re like, say, Gwen Stefani or Ashlee Simpson-Wentz) your kids’ names aren’t exactly readily available.

Affordable for every budget, totally customizable and uber-trendy and delicious, these prints will improve the look of any nursery or big-kid room. And they’re specifically sized to fit IKEA frames, which just makes things even easier for you. KidCards: Kid-Crafted Greetings Mean The Most

I’m a stickler for thank-you cards and I think kids should make their own as soon as they’re big enough. KidCards Coloring Cards (20 cards for $15) are one of those, “Why didn’t I think of that?” products. It’s a spiral-bound book of 20 cards for every occasion, plus 20 envelopes.

The cards feature simple designs that make it easy to say, “Happy birthday!” or “Get well soon!” and show off the kids’ artwork. Each card is perforated so it tears neatly and scored for a nice fold and kids can decorate them however they want. My mom thinks my kids’ artworks are true masterpieces, and for 75 cents apiece, they’re much more affordable than mass-produced cards from the drugstore.

Shutterfly Lays Out the Welcome Mat

If you store your photos on Kodak Gallery, you have to place an order of $4.99 or $19.99 (depending on how many photos you’re storing) to keep them there for the next 12 months or make other arrangements by today. If you don’t make the minimum order, Kodak’s new terms of service state that your photos “may” be deleted. Stepping in to help Kodak customers who need a free solution is Shutterfly, who are unrolling a “welcome mat” full of freebies and discounts to new customers. The welcome mat package includes a free photo book, 25 free prints and 12 stationery cards in addition to their free photo storage and sharing. Afterward, their 4×6 prints will cost you $0.15 each but you can also purchase pre-paid plans that lower the cost to as much as $0.10 a print.

It’s going to be a little bit of a pain in the you-know-what to get your photos off of Kodak and ironically, what you have to do will allow you to extend your storage by another year, but in the long run, it will be worth it. You can order an Archive CD-ROM of all of your photos for $10-35 for up to 1,000 photos and then either upload the images to Shutterfly yourself or send the CD to them.

In the meantime, take advantage of the Welcome Mat offer by opening a Shutterfly account by Monday, May 18, 2009 and uploading at least 50 photos. You will then be eligible for the Welcome Mat deal. Even if you’re not a current Kodak Gallery customer, this is a great offer!

Carrie and Tuck NoteTote Eases Thank-You Writing on the Go

I grew up writing thank-you notes for everything because of my mom, who would lovingly stand over my brother and me to be sure we dotted our “i”s and crossed our “t”s. And due to her, I still enjoy sending hand-written thank-you notes to friends and family members after birthdays and holidays, and have fun picking out the stationery I use to send my thanks. That’s why I love Carrie & Tuck’s adorable NoteTotes ($39) by Boatman Geller. Click to continue reading »

eInvite.com: Fun Designs and Fabulous Customer Service

Baby showers. Thank you notes. Birthday invitations. More thank you notes. The need seems endless once you have kids, and though some people have moved to paperless communication, through sites such as web-based or mass-blast emails, there is something so valuable to me in a handwritten note, that — like books — I am unwilling to wholly turn over and concede to the powers of technology. Except, of course, to use that technology to access beautiful paper, a vast array of choices, fair pricing, and quick turnaround–and einvite.com provides all of these services. If you’re like me, the hand-off to your babysitter is usually rushed. You’re in a hurry to get where you need to go and hand her a scrap of paper with scribbled info and run out the door. Then you realize an hour later that you forgot something important. Tiny Tales’ Babysitter Notes ($8) won’t make you any less rushed but at least you’ll be reminded to enter all of the info she could need.
