Fear no April Showers with all-weather Woobies
by CBB fashion/gear correspondent Ciaran
There may be a drought in Hollywood this spring, but that hasn’t stopped celeb parents like Jason Priestly, Angela Bassett, and Marcia Cross from stocking up on Woobee products this spring. Woobee’s line features clever burps, bibs and blankies with water resistant nylon fabric on one side and cuddly poly fleece on the other. So even if it starts to sprinkle in Tinseltown, lucky Woobee toting tots will stay warm and dry, protected from the elements.
At a recent Hollywood event, Lucy, the year and half old daughter of actress Laura Leighton and actor Doug Savant, cuddled up with a pink Woobee blanket and said “night night.” Actress Ming Na commented how much she liked the designs for her 17 month old son Cooper. She especially loved the clever stroller ties on the plush blue and chocolate blanket that she got for him, saying, “He is always kicking off his blanket. This will be great!”
Angie Harmon, mom to 23 month old Avery and 3 yr old Finley, thought the blankets would be great at football games as well. She picked up two plush pink and chocolate blankets for her girls. Tia Carrera chose the leopard print bib and blankie for 18 month old daughter Bianca.
What busy parent wouldn’t appreciate this marriage of soft and cozy with water resistant? The easy to clean blankets, burps and bibs keep clothing dry and protected, and are gentle and comfortable next to baby’s skin. They were all designed by real life mom Heather Correa, a multi-tasking mompreneur who was inspired by her own two daughters.

Moncalin: Unique and cuddly animals and blankets
For those who prefer a stuffed animal that is neither a licensed character nor found in every mass retailer in town, Moncalin presents an adorable option. French for "my cuddle," Moncalin’s plush pigs, cats, blankets and star shaped blankees are super soft and cuddly, handsewn, and made without beads or plastic parts. Details are embroidered so they are safe for infants. Plus they’re machine washable.
Their two collections each include stuffed cats and pigs, double-sided blankets and blankees. The Classic Collection combines butter yellow, candy pink, or pistachio with contrasting striped features. The Chocolate Collection combines chocolate brown, pink, blue or pistachio with contrasting details, and are accented with a heart. Everything is meticulously designed with children in mind. The fabrics are extremely soft and cuddly that you can’t help but rub it on your face. The blankees are star-shaped so babies have many different edges to chew on or play with. Similarly, the blankets are knotted on the corners so children can play with and grab them.

Boom Boom Room’s Baby and Big Kid Style Villa: a “Boon” for celebrity parents
Boon was a sponsor of the Jayneoni’s Boom Boom Room Baby and Big Kid Style Villa, hosted on January 11, 2007 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Boon’s innovative and stylish products were a huge hit with celebrity moms and dads. Often combining multiple functions, Boon products are designed withclean, modern styling, appealing to both parents and children. Plus we love that they contribute 10% of their profits to children’s charities.
Anya has their Frog Pod which is a 3-in-1 bath toy organizer. The part with the handles lets you scoop up the toys, rinse them and store them and let them dry without getting mildewy. There is a shelf that holds shampoo and body wash and you can hang a washcloth, bath poof, etc. from the frog’s fingers and toes. Plus it’s super cute and makes bathtime more fun (Anya loves everything but having her hair rinsed.)

Boom Boom Room’s Baby and Big Kid Style Villa: Big Day Books
I feel super guilty that we haven’t recorded Anya’s firsts in a baby book. It’s the kind of thing I used to give my mom a hard time about but now I totally understand. I wish I had had the Big Day Book, a baby book that you create online. According to the company, these baby books are great for "mothers that are short on time and energy, but don’t want their baby books to reflect that." Yep, sounds like me. All you have to do is type in your information and print the page yourself. The company even sends email reminders that it’s time to do it!
Even celebrities need help remembering to complete their baby’s book -that’s why the Big Day Book was such a hit with these stars who attended the Boom Boom Room’s Baby and Big Kid Style Villa.
You can try creating your own Big Day Book page for free on their site. (Click here to see my sample page.)

CBB Exclusive: It’s a girl for Dr. 90210 docs
Update: The baby’s name is Alexis Victoria.
Originally posted January 15, 2007:
Doctors Linda Li and Bill Fulcher from Dr. 90210 are second time parents after welcoming a daughter. No word yet on a name, but the baby girl was born by cesarean section on Wednesday, January 3rd. She joins big brother Max, 15 months.
Just 8 days later, the couple and their daughter made an appearance at a swag suite and got a Big Day Book, a baby book that you create online. According to the company, these baby books are great for "mothers that are short on time and energy, but don’t want their baby books to reflect that." All you have to do is type in your baby’s information and print the page, and the company even sends email reminders that it’s time to do it! The Li-Fulcher family chose the Hanna Bling Book ($99), at left. Each book comes with an 18 month membership to their online creation system.
Cori from Big Day Book tells us,
Dr Li was SO nice and looked AMAZING for someone who had practically just given birth. She was wearing high heels if you can believe it! She said the swelling in her feet and ankles had finally gone down and she couldn’t wait to put the heels back on!
Here’s another photo of the Linda and Bill with Alexis. They were visiting the Nappi Sak by Suzibellatable at Jayneoni’s Boom Boom Room. Initially, Linda thought the NappiSak was a purse, but it is actually a mini diaper carrier. The NappiSak, which debuted at the event, is a bamboo handled bag with chicfabrics that holds a changing pad, moisture–tight container for diapersand wipes, and has convenient fabric pockets for holding essentialslike cell phones, keys, and credit cards.
