Just Married

Tobey Maguire, 32, of Spiderman fame and his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Meyer tied the knot in a sunset ceremony in Kona, Hawaii last night.  Jennifer, daughter of Universal Studios head Ron Meyer, and Tobey have a baby daughter, Ruby Sweetheart, 9 months. Ruby’s middle name comes from a childhood nickname of Jennifer’s given to her by her grandmother, who died a few months before Ruby’s birth.

Actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Lukas Haas were among the wedding guests in Hawaii.

We hear that Tobey and Jen are possibly considering releasing a wedding snapshot or two this week, Ruby included! We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

Jane Fonda and her second husband Tom Hayden’s son Troy Garity recently married Simone Bent at Columbia University’s St. Paul’s Chapel.  It appears that Simone won’t have to worry about a potential "Monster-in-Law" situation with Jane, as her new mother-in-law was reportedly very fond of Simone.  Not only did she help her son pick out Simone’s engagement ring, but was known to refer to her as her future daughter-in-law and her son’s fiancee even before the couple became engaged in 2006.

Troy is an actor who has appeared in Barbershop 2 and the TV movie, Soldier’s Girl, based on the true story of a young soldier beaten to death for falling in love with a transgendered nightclub performer.  Simone is also an actor, having worked with NYC’s Rising Sun Theater Company and made a short film called Escape from Eden.

Kansas City Chiefs tackle Christopher A. Terry and his girlfriend R&B singer Sunshine Anderson, who are expecting their first child, were married Saturday, July 21 at the Palms Hotel Miami in front of their 30 closest friends and family members.

The newlyweds found out that they will be having a girl and have decided on the name Alexia Skyy Terry for their new addition. She is due November 14.

You can hardly see a baby bump, but check out Kim Clijsters‘ wedding photos to American basketball player Brian Lynch on her official web site. The retired tennis star confirmed her pregnancy last Tuesday before tying the knot with Brian at a 6 a.m. ceremony on Friday; the reception was held on Saturday. Kim, 24, who’s reportedly due in January, also writes in her diary that she will update fans on her pregnancy in the coming months.

After the wedding we will rest a little and then head for the US, so you won’t hear from me or see me for a while. Also, now that I’m pregnant I’ll have to take it easy more often. But as soon as we’re back from America, I’ll let you know how we are, Brian, me and the baby!

After an evening at the Tonys, Liev Schreiber, 39, and Naomi Watts, 38, were spotted out in NYC this morning. In related news, Liev told ET last evening that the couple have wed. He said,

 We are married. You got it first. Break the story!

Of course, Liev’s been known to mess with the press — they spent the rest of the evening denying that they’re married!

Originally posted April 21st: Chef Anthony Bourdain, 50, author/novelist, host of the Travel Channel’s No Reservations and former executive chef at NYC’s Les Halles, and his Italian girlfriend Ottavia Busia welcomed their first child, a daughter, on April 9th. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 9 oz. Anthony posted on the No Reservations forum with the news and to say that she’s ‘beautiful.’ He did not, however, share a name.

Scrubs star John C. McGinley tied the knot last weekend with yoga instructor/doula Nichole Kessler with the help of his son Max, 9. Max, who has Down syndrome, served as John’s best man and took his duties seriously. After he walked Nichole down the aisle, he rushed back inside their Malibu home. John says,

I barked out orders to make sure Max was okay. You don’t usually have the groom [yelling] at the altar, but I couldn’t concentrate unless I knew Max was squared away.

Max eventually reemerged with Haley, one of their two chocolate labs, and directed her to sit alongside their second one, Hudson, by his dad. Nichole says she loved the image of Max walking Haley down the aisle.

The sweetest thing was Max walking back with Haley, then sitting down, thinking, ‘Okay, now I’m done.’

Max, who introduced the couple at the beach, spent the rest of the ceremony watching a DVD of The Wiggles in the limo, but his presence was still felt among everyone. John broke down during his self-penned vows, in which he mentioned his son and soon-to-be wife.

I start talking about Nichole and Max in the same sentence and I’m gone. It was the most private thing I’ve ever done in public.

Says their friend Jan Barton,

I’ve never seen a man love his son more.

John plans to share that love with more children. Coming from a large family, as the second of five kids, John wants to outdo his parents and have seven, which is fine with Nichole. She says,

Bring it on!

Scrubs star John C. McGinley married yoga teacher Nichole Kessler on Saturday, People Magazine reports. The couple wed at their home in Malibu before about 30 family members and friends, and the bride walked down the aisle with John’s 9-year-old son Max. It is actually Max who is responsible for these two newlyweds meeting. Max, who has Down syndrome, approached Nichole on the beach while John was playing fetch with his dogs and it is all history from there. John said,

Max went over to this hot blonde behind me and I was just aghast, I was like, ‘Max, you get the dogs. I’ll talk to the hot blondes.’ And so we switched.

John and Nichole became engaged last August.

Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg, 42, has husband Martin Jorgensen, 28, helping her to collect sons from school. Princes Nikolai, 7, and Felix, 4, seem to be very fond of their step-father who married Alexandra on March 3rd. After the marriage she lost her title as Princess of Denmark and from now on will be titled as Her Excellency Alexandra Christina, Countess of Frederiksborg. The title will not expand on Martin or the couple’s possible future children.
