For Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford, the news that she was expecting her second child came as a bittersweet surprise.

Already the mother of adorable 2 ½-year-old son Hermés Gustaf Daniel, Kelly was overjoyed at the idea of having another baby. But her volatile three-year marriage to the children’s father was already at the breaking point.

So when she was three months pregnant, Kelly, 40, made the heart-wrenching decision to leave her husband, Daniel Giersch, and have the baby on her own. Their daughter, Helena Grace, was born on June 8th in Los Angeles.

Now, for the first time since the controversial split, Kelly is speaking out. She recently sat down with Life & Style at her home to set the record straight on her life-changing choice, her bitter custody battle and her plans to raise her two children on her own.

It’s the Broderick twins! Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick — along with big brother James Wilkie! — proudly introduce their 7-day-old baby girls, Marion Loretta Elwell (l) and Tabitha Hodge (r), in a photo released Monday evening.

The twins, delivered by surrogate, arrived June 22nd in Ohio.

Homeward bound! Lance Armstrong totes newborn son Maxwell Edward as the pair — plus mom Anna Hansen — left the hospital in Aspen, Co. on Saturday morning.

Since returning home, Max, 4 days old, has stayed busy keeping on top of his Twitter account!

“Finally got to go home. All my grandparents are here too. I feel like a hot potato,” baby boy updated Saturday. Yesterday brought the news that he “just got my diaper changed. Lookin’ [forward] to doing this myself!”

Max rides in a Graco SnugRide in Melbourne ($90). Hanging from the handle are Infantino’s Tag Along Chimes ($6.50 for two).

It’s the greatest headline to date for CNN Entertainment Correspondent Brooke Anderson! The co-host of HLN’s Showbiz Tonight and her husband Jim became first-time parents last month when they welcomed their daughter on Tuesday, May 5th. Baby girl Kate Victoria Walker, making her big debut at 6:40 a.m., weighed in at 8 lbs., 1 oz and measured 20 inches long.

Congratulating his co-host and announcing the birth on air Wednesday night, A.J. Hammer sent out warm wishes to the new family.

“Everybody at Showbiz Tonight [is] over the moon for you, Brooke.”

The pregnancy was announced in November, with Brooke telling CBB in February that the excited couple had opted for a delivery surprise. “There are too few good surprises in life,” she said. “We are excited to find out baby’s gender the traditional way.”

When Charlie Sheen’s fraternal twin boys, Max and Bob, were born on March 15th, seven weeks premature, the experience had a profound effect on the Two and a Half Men star. “There are days I don’t even want to go to work because I want to be with my family,” Charlie, 43, tells In Touch in an exclusive interview.

It’s hard to believe that Charlie is such a dedicated family man now. Early in his career, the actor battled drug addiction and sex scandals, but 11 years ago, he turned his life around. Last May, he married Brooke Mueller Sheen, 31, and is now a doting dad to Max and Bob, daughters Sam, 5, and Lola, 3 ½, with ex-wife Denise Richards, and daughter Cassandra, 24.

“I feel like I’m doing something for the greater good,” He says. “They’re relying on me to make the right choices so they can have the life they deserve.” Adds Brooke, “I finally feel like everything has fallen into place.”

Could she be a model in the making like mama? Niki Taylor and Burney Lamar introduce their daughter, 8-week-old Ciel, in a photo released this week.

Weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz when she arrived on the morning of March 4th, Ciel is a special blessing for the pair, who struggled to conceive. Now proud parents, Burney, a NASCAR driver, calls fatherhood “amazing.”

“She smells so good. And, this is going to sound funny, but even her breath smells good when she cries. And her crying is the cutest thing ever. She makes the sweetest faces. She is absolutely perfect.”

Ciel is the first child for Burney and the third for Niki, who is also mom to 14-year-old identical twins, Hunter and Jake.

Taking the opportunity to introduce her 3-month-old son during a recent appearance on the Today show, country crooner Jo Dee Messina beamed with pride as her son’s photo (at left) was shown on screen before the camera panned over to Noah Roger, who was perfectly content drinking his bottle while cradled in his dad’s arms.

With the proud mama already declaring her baby boy “a flirt,” a giddy Jo Dee joked with co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

After meeting little Noah before the show, Kathie referenced the initial introduction, sharing that she and Hoda had seen him “down below” before quickly clarifying that she meant in the studio downstairs. “We keep him in the basement,” laughed Jo Dee.

Admitting that she has yet to adjust to the lack of sleep since the birth of her first child, the 38-year-old looks forward to a future that includes a full-night’s rest. “He’s still not sleeping through the night,” she shares, before Kathie interjects with a forewarning that the late nights could carry her well into the toddler years!

Clearly elated with having embarked on the journey of parenthood, Jo Dee and her doting husband Chris Deffenbaugh are hopeful that their son lives up to his biblical name.

“Here’s a man who everyone thought was crazy and everybody was telling him stop doing what you’re doing, and he followed his faith and stuck to what he believed in. I love that character within a man and I hope my son has that same character.”

Here she is! Alyson Hannigan and Alexis Denisof introduce their 3-week-old beach baby — daughter Satyana — in a self-shot surfside photo released today through the Associated Press.

The happy couple, who met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and have been married five years, welcomed their baby girl on Tuesday, March 24th.
