The 13-month-old was spending Independence Day with Cash and Jessica Alba at Jim Carrey’s beach house, where the guests enjoyed a holiday cookout and some time in the sand!

Jerry O’Connell Jokes About Rebecca’s Breastfeeding Mishap

Before contemplating children, many couples often choose to add to their family with a furry friend in order to learn the responsibility ropes. For actor Jerry O’Connell, practicing fatherhood with his dogs before welcoming his fraternal twin daughters Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose has proven helpful!

While guest-hosting Live! With Regis and Kelly last week, the doting dad proudly showed off pictures of his baby girls and noted their giddy smiles could only be attributed to one thing: feeding time! A veteran dog owner, Jerry jokes he has seen the same look before. “What’s amazing is I had dogs before we had kids and when you get the dog food [and] you’re putting it out, the dogs are like [panting], ‘Food time!’” he laughs. “Babies are exactly the same.”

With the girls now 6-months-old, feeding time entails two bottles and a can of formula; The first six months of their lives, however, mom Rebecca Romijn nursed. “Even I was like, ‘Honey, why?’ Lets go get some formula and make this easy,” Jerry says.

“But every few hours that big generator Frankenstein machine would go on.”

Unfortunately, nursing the twins involved adhering to a strict feeding schedule and, more often that not, cutting date nights short. “We were at a friend of ours’ wedding and we were there for a couple of hours. I was having a good time, dancing…and we’re having a good time,” he recalls. “My wife grabbed me and she was like, ‘We’re leaving now,’ and I was like, ‘No, no, no, come on, I want to cut the cake.” Realizing that Rebecca was more than ready to feed the babies — and had subsequently started to leak milk — Jerry laughs that the couple had to “skedaddle out of there!” Not surprisingly, when asked by co-host Kelly Ripa if he has been able to rest since the babies arrived, the actor is quick to respond that sleep is a luxury of the past. To date, Charlie and Dolly have maintained a strict wake-up call: rise and shine at 5 a.m.! However, whose sleeping habits — or lack thereof — they have inherited have yet to be determined, Jerry laughs.

“I don’t wake up particularly early, my wife doesn’t wake up particularly early, but for some reason [for] our children, 5 a.m. is their time.”

Recently returning from a trip, Jerry was met by an exhausted Rebecca who promptly informed him he was officially in charge of the night time routine. “My wife was like, ‘It’s your turn, come on!” While the couple try to share the late night responsibilities, it goes without saying that the two find themselves convincing each other who is next to crawl out of bed. “I’ll be like, ‘It’s your turn,’ and my wife will be like, ‘It’s your turn,’ and I’ll be like, ‘No, no, no, I did it yesterday, I got up at five,’” says Jerry.

That said, Jerry shouts out his apologies to Rebecca, admitting that she, more often than not, is the one tending to the twins.

“My wife’s been great; She usually gets up and ends up doing it. Sorry honey, I’m so lazy.”

Fatherhood has changed Jerry in more ways that he could have possibly envisioned. While he once never gave a second thought to the idea of sunblock, he now can’t get enough on his girls, “slathering them up” with the highest SPF he can find! “Get out the 70 [and] put it on them and their toes,” he laughs. A father of multiples, the actor has also noticed a change in his physique as well.

“My biceps are getting huge because I’m just lifting them both at the same time. I’m going to be [Arnold] Schwarzenegger by the time they’re one.”

Meet the champ! Coming off his 15th Grand Slam win at Wimbledon — breaking Pete Sampras‘ record — Roger Federer poses with expectant wife Mirka Vavrinec Federer at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner, held Sunday at the Hotel Intercontinental in London.

Roger’s next project? His baby-on-the-way, a boy due this summer. The couple has yet to decide on a name!

“You know, we’ll see,” Roger said recently. “There’s quite a few books around that are that thick, so we’ll see where it takes us. But, no, we haven’t decided anything yet. I have no clue right now myself. Thank God we have time left to decide.”

Kerri Walsh Hates Being ‘Skinny Soft,’ Is Ready to Build Muscle After Baby

New mom Kerri Walsh tells PEOPLE her husband AVP pro-volleyball player Casey Jennings nearly missed the birth of their son.

The Olympian, 30, and Casey, 33, welcomed Joseph ‘Joey’ Michael Jennings six weeks ago, but dad-to-be got temporarily sidelined by, what else, a volleyball game.

“I started my contractions the night before and just labored through the night and kissed my husband goodbye,” says Kerri. “He had to go play in a tournament.”

Although Casey was a wreck leaving his wife, he made it back just in the nick of time. “Casey got home around 5 p.m. and my water broke around 5:05 and then we went straight to the hospital,” she recalls. “My husband was a really great coach and little Joey came out at 7:14 p.m.”

And Casey has eased right into his new role. “He sings to Joey every day and night. Joey’s a spitting image of his daddy — same head, same hair-line, same bone structure.”

Kerri, who has stuck to an intense work out routine much of her life– especially while in season, did have a little trouble getting used to the weight gain. “36 lbs. is the official number. I just didn’t want to hit 40 because that would be 200 lbs. but I feel pretty silly now that I see Joey.”

So did it fall right off the typically svelte star? “It’s crazy. A lot dropped in the first week,” she says. “Now I just need to build my muscle because I’m skinny soft, which is the worst thing to be.”

Anxious to be back on the sand, Kerri adds, “I can’t wait to sweat and be outside and play the sport I love so much but right now I’m just proud. I have peace in my heart because of our son. I just can’t wait to show him the world.”

Meanwhile, Kerri announced this weekend she’s on track to make her comeback at the August 8th Hermosa Beach AVP tournament.

Check out the beginnings of her belly! Camila Alves, pregnant with her second child, stepped out for some shopping on Friday afternoon in Malibu, filling up a cart at the supermarket.

Perhaps she and Matthew McConaughey were hosting an Independence Day party? The couple could have also been preparing for son Levi’s big day — he turns one year old tomorrow!

Matthew and Camila, 26, expect their latest addition in late December/early January.

Celtics’ Ray Allen Welcomes Son Wynn Ryder

His own personal basketball team is almost complete! Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen and his wife Shannon welcomed their third son together on Friday, June 26th in Boston, Mass., his rep tells CBB exclusively. Baby boy Wynn Ryder Allen weighed in at 8 lbs., 11 oz, and measured 22 ½ inches in length.

Wynn is welcomed by big brothers Ray III, 4, and Walker, 2, and sister Tierra, 16, Ray’s daughter from a previous relationship.

Off the court, Ray and Shannon are known for their dedication in the fight against diabetes; Their son Walker has been diagnosed with the disease. Ray holds a spot on the International Board of Trustees at the Joslin Diabetes Center, while Shannon was recently appointed to the International Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Jillian Reynolds Expecting Baby No. 2

A good day, indeed! Jillian Barberie Reynolds, co-host of Good Day L.A., revealed on this mornings’ show that she is expecting her second child with husband Grant Reynolds. To hear the 42-year-old television personality tell it, however, her bump was the worst kept secret in town!

“You know it’s not even a question anymore, [when] everyone is like, ‘You’re eating Doritos at 7 a.m., drinking 7-up and you’ve got a gut.’ Gee I wonder why? Yes, I’m pregnant. Helllloooo!”

The FOX NFL Sunday weatherwoman went on to suggest that baby-on-the-way was a surprise. “Jay Mohr said to me, ‘What, you get a boob job?’ and I said ‘Why would I get a boob job, I already have big boobs?’ and he said ‘Umm…,’” Jillian recalled. “And I was driving home and said ‘Oh my God, I have a pregnancy test at home, I’m going to give it a try.’”

“I peed on the stick and went back 10 minutes later and it said ‘Pregnant,’ so I stuffed it in an early Father’s Day card for Grant. Grant and I, our sex life, still goin’ strong!”

The announcement comes as the couple celebrate the second birthday of their daughter Ruby Raven.
