Update:  Access Hollywood has video footage of some more of Salma’s gear, including a modern pink Bloom ‘Coco’ Lounger ($350) purchased by fellow actress Penelope Cruz, and an Orbit infant system ($899), purchased by her manager.  A representative for NoMi Boutique pointed out the dual-purpose of the infant carrier’s extended sunshade, noting that it can also serve as an ‘anti-paparazzi’ device. 

Originally posted August 29th: Salma Hayek celebrated her baby shower on Saturday, Aug. 25, at her Hollywood Hills home and got a load of presents for her and fiance Francois Henri-Pinault’s first child. Registered at NoMi Boutique, the actress, who turns 41 on Sunday, received Pentunia Pickle Bottom Cake bags in black ($325) and pink ($425), two Bloom high chairs ($400 each) and Graco SnugRide car seats ($130 each).

Guest Pia Lindstrom said the mother-to-be had a blast at the party.

She was very excited about everything. She was full of pregnancy glow and looked so happy.

Salma has not announced her due date or the sex of her baby, but gift cards were made out to "Valentina."

OK! caught up with Dancing with the Stars host Samantha Harris at her Aug. 4 Malibu baby shower, where the glowing mom-to-be eschewed flowers for "diaper cakes" as centerpieces.

Instead of flowers, I have centerpieces called ‘diaper cakes’ by Nine Months Later. You get to take them home and use the washcloths, diapers and toys that they are made of.

I’m beyond thrilled to be on the beach and to have a laid-back, casual, nontraditional baby shower. This is just a fun, big party to celebrate baby.

We don’t want to find out the sex of the baby. We are so looking forward to that big, fabulous surprise on delivery day.

I feel a little guilty saying that it’s been a really wonderful pregnancy…I’ve been sticking with my regular diet, which is a balance of proteins and carbs.

I’ve altered my workout, so I’ve dropped the amount of weight that I use for free weights. I’ve gone to yoga classes and taken a lot of walks with my husband.

I love both my jobs and I plan to continue them. We’ll find a way with Michael’s help and a great nanny.

Good Day LA’s Jillian Barberie Reynolds, 40, was joined by friends andfamily at the June 2 baby shower for her daughter, whom she and husbandGrant Reynolds are expecting July 7. The pink bash was thrown by KrisJenner and her daughters, Khloe, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. Otherguests included Heather Locklear, who gave Jillian a white baby Bible,and Constance Marie. The talk show host was overwhelmed by the amountof presents she received, which included lots of shoes, something shealready has a spot for.

It’s like, how many presents can one little girl get? I have ashoe closet, so I’m doing my little girl’s closet like mine. I’m soexcited!

As for names, Jillian and Grant have three picked outthat start with "R," but are waiting to meet their daughter beforecommitting to one.

Bridget Moynahan had some specific ideas for her baby shower, held on Saturday, when she and a friend hashed out the plans in late April, according to a source.

Bridget didn’t mention Tom [Brady]. She joked that she wanted to be picked up on a chair and have everyone sing ‘Hava Nagila.’

The actress, who’s 7 1/2 months pregnant, has also purchased an SUV and rented an apartment in Santa Monica in preparation for her baby’s arrival.

Project Runway finalist Laura Bennett’s baby shower on November 14th and the guys at Project Rungay were invited!   The shower took place at the Upper East Side townhouse of one of Laura’s friends and the guests were, as the Project Rungay guys put it, "a roomful of Manhattan Power Bitches" (said in the most respectful way).  The theme was Laura, of course, with guests donning black dresses and red wigs.

Here is Laura showing off one of her gifts- a temporary tattoo with all of her children’s names on it, a la Jeffrey Sebelia’s neck tattoo.  Her children include Cleo, 18, from Laura’s first marriage, Peik, 10, Truman, 7 (who went unnamed until he was named by others at a cocktail party at 3 months old – they called him ‘the baby’ before!), Pierson, 4, and Larson, 3.  Her sixth child (and fifth son) was due November 15.
