As she recently made her way to the runway of her L.A.M.B. spring 2008 show during New York City’s fashion week, Gwen Stefani spotted her 15-month-old son Kingston sitting in the audience — and knew instinctively that she wouldn’t be making the trip down the catwalk alone.  It appears that touring with his mom in support of her second solo album has left young Kingston a wee bit attached to Gwen.

I didn’t want to walk halfway down and not get him. He’s in that phase where if I waved to him and walked to him, it would have been disastrous.  It’s really hard. We’ve been traveling the world. 

The end of the tour and the debut of the newest L.A.M.B. line frees Gwen up to record an album with her band, No Doubt; The magnitude of the changes is not lost on the 37-year-old first-time mom, who noted that "I’m ending a whole chapter in my life."

I did these two dance records, and now I’ll go back and do a No Doubt record.  It’s my first year of having a baby. It’s a really substantial point in my life.

Kingston’s dad is singer Gavin Rossdale.

Rockers Gavin Rossdale, 41, and Gwen Stefani, 37, were spotted out with their 15-month-old son Kingston James McGregor, who enjoyed a bottle and an apple as they walked to Central Park in NYC earlier today. While the baby’s cute, we’re not exactly minding the abs glimpse from Gavin either!

14-month-old Kingston Rossdale may be used to touring the world with his mom Gwen Stefani, but if Gwen has her way, Kingston someday soon might be getting used to something a whole lot bigger — albeit in a smaller package.  Gwen says in the new issue of InStyle magazine:

Obviously, I’m in a race to have another (child), but I don’t want to do it while I’m on tour.  But I can’t wait to get pregnant again.  It’s so fun and consuming and romantic.

Gwen says music is in the genes for Kingston, which makes sense given that his dad is rock star Gavin Rossdale, whom Gwen says is "super into being a dad."  According to Gwen — who sings her son lullabies every night before taking the stage — Kingston is "just getting into music."

He does the whole head bouncing thing.

Between her world tour and the rigors associated with caring for a toddler, Gwen admits that at least one area of her life is suffering.  Fortunately, she doesn’t seem to mind.

I definitely don’t get enough sleep, but I’d rather spend time with him. I’ve got this extra-fun, amazing, little guy who just wants to hang out with me.
